For this thread I would like to discuss some possible roles for Naruto and Sasuke after the war has ended.

First, let me tell you what I hope doesn't happen (all opinion so don't bash, please).

KAGE SYSTEM:

First off, I don't really see the need for a Kage system once the war has ended. The whole point of introducing the Alliance to me was to illustrate a new path and future for the Ninja system. To go back to the old system is to pretty basically disregard all the progress that they made into have ALL five Kage agree to becoming one system. This system may have worked in the beginning when they all were working for the same goal (having their children grow up in a world without violence), but that soon went array when many of the future Kages started to bicker with one another, distrust one another and seek power above the others. If we end up having Kages when the whole war is over and Part II is over, then what is to say that this doesn't happen again? What's to stop the future Kage's from bickering with one another, distrusting one another and leading to another war between nations? For me that would be a straight kick in the butt and a spit in the faces of those that came before (i.e. those during this war). For me, a new system without Kage's may be more beneficial in creating unity and peace between once different ninjas. Therefore, Naruto and Sasuke would not become Hokage.

Now, let me discuss what I see as a possible role for both Naruto and Sasuke.

HERMITS:

Yes, as strange as it may seem, I would like to see this happen. After everything is said and done and the war is finally over, these two go their separate ways (or stay together) and become Hermits (like Jiraiya). They would then travel the world and teach people how to use Ninjutsu properly. That it isn't something to be used as a weapon or to start a war, but to keep peace and balance in the face of those that would use their ninja powers for evil. In a way, they would become sort of the overseers of what happens in the world and different villages would look up to them and ask them for guidance when they needed it. Now, I don't want to go too far in depth with this because I think I would be repeating myself, but this, to me at least, seems like an overall better way for these two God-like ninjas to spend their time. It would be also a much better way spent then the two constantly fighting or whatever would happen on who would become Hokage and whatnot (basically another Hiruzen and Danzo situation). Now, this is a rough idea and I could potentially go into more detail, but I think this is an overall good basis for these two guys.

Now, before I close I will mention that Sasuke may be a little trickier for this to work, but given Sasuke's past history, I don't see why we wouldn't be a little skeptical. However, stranger things have happened in the manga and this may be something Sasuke would agree upon.

Finally, I would like to hear from all of you! All opinions will be appreciated.

NOTE: Please don't be rude.

Cheers!

NOTE: Please don't be rude. If you don't like this idea, then by all means, do not post or I will ignore/report you.

Cheers!
you kind of screwed up the whole point of making threads with that you should have just said dont be rude not if you dont like this idea the point of a thread on a public forum is for people to discuss it even if they dont agree with the original poster.

Fixed it, thanks! :)

I may have been a little too harsh, but I just have a tendency to attract meanies lawl.
understandable thats why i said what i did

now about your original idea no im not so sure hermits would suit both of them Sasuke likes to be a loner so yes it would probably suit him.

Naruto on the other hand ever since the beginning of the manga he has been about friends and having those said friends around him so being a Hermit would not work for him especially since it goes to say Naruto is the one that has brought about the unification of the NV if he was togo hermit mode think about him disappearing and people taking advantage of that disappearance to try and take over what Naruto has made possible

So basically the kage system should be remove (which I disagree on) and Sasuke and Naruto should spread ninshu around the world? I like the second part of the idea, but if there were no leaders who will lead the countries, who will handle the countries problems, who ask for materials from other lands, etc. I figured the kage position as something equivalent to the president or something. Now if your saying that the kages form an alliance where the nations are one, I can see that but there should still be kages to represent their land.

Yes, Hermits do tend to seclude themselves from society, but there is no real time frame of how long he stays secluded. He could potentially still travel the Ninja world helping those in need. What I think of seclusion is probably different, but this is what I had in mind. Naruto and Sasuke could still communicate with the outside world, but when it came time to meditate (yes, I know that's not something Naruto would do), then they'd go into "hiding" until they've finished. After that, they could still resume what I have stated above. Also, they could live alone in the forest somewhere, that's also a type of seclusion that could still work and be a way that Naruto could still have those connections, but live a life like this.

As for Sasuke I agree. This strangely enough would be perfect for him and he'd even take seclusion to the extreme.

Yes, the Kage system would be replaced with an entirely new system. I do still see someone taking the reins and leading the new Alliance, but having 5 different people doing it is a bit much and could potentially lead back to another war if some of the Kage's do not agree with one another or one oversteps their place. Frankly, the Kage system hasn't been what Hashirama and Tobirama envisioned, so why continue something that frankly didn't work all to well and lead to so many wars and attacks on villages?

A Feudal Lord could potentially step-up and take control of the whole Alliance, and or, one of the current Kages. Then, instead of picking a new Kage to lead the whole Alliance, anyone who is qualified to lead could be chosen (i.e. anyone from any of the Five Great Nations).

in actuality yes the kage system should be disbanded but not in the way your thinking. I still think the kages will be around but i dont think they will be making the main decisions ill refer to my first ever thread on NB to show you what i think will happen. And im only quoting the part i think thats relevant

Naruto Smiles and says hes honored but he wants to pass the title onto Sasuke everyone in the room looks at him as he turns to walk out of the room even Sasuke is awestruck that is when the rest of the kages stand up and whisper to each other. Tsunade smiles and shakes her head in agreement Tsunade calls to Naruto and tells him to stop. Naruto turns around and looks back at Tsunade. Tsunade says the other kages agree to allow Sasuke to be Hokage but its on one condition. Naruto looks Puzzled as Tsunade continues The other kages and i have agreed as of now to unite all 5 great nations into one and would like to make you Grand Kage.

Naruto is confused what do you mean by Grand Kage. Tsunade laughs and says Sasuke will be hokage and the rest of the kages will keep their positions but all 5 kages will report to you Naruto. After this a ceremony is shown making Sasuke Hokage and then all 5 kages signing a unification treaty then they hand it to Shikamaru who takes it and walks upto a chair where Naruto is sitting with a big smile on his face. Naruto then stands up takes the parchment from Shikamaru(Grand Kages Assistant) and walks to the edge of the stage in front of a huge crowd every ninja is shown to be wearing a headband with the markings reading 一国(One Nation).

Naruto holds up the parchment and says We are truly one nation as of today Believe it!!!

Okey. This is strange, but possible idea. I think that might happen. I mean, the whole team 7 (except Kakashi who maybe will return in the academy).. Sasuke, Naruto and Sakura will be the new sannins. (Orochimaru, Jiraya and Tsunade). And just like these 3, team 7 will go around the world (maybe separated) or stay in Konoha and like someone who they'll like to teach and stuff. I'm not sure.. Maybe it'll happen like Oro, Jiraya and Tsunade.. Sasuke will find some new path and stuff like that.. XD I'm not sure even what I'm talkin' in the last 2 sentences.. but hope you understand me.. XD +1 rep

Won't happen.

...and...

Won't happen.

Just because the war is over does not mean evil in NV is gone. You also cannot share leadership. Someone has to make the final decision or you need a complicated system (called a government) by which decisions are slowly reached.

Jiraiya was not a hermit. His wandering had multiple purposes and benefit for the village, notably spying and searching for a way to bring steady peace (the prophecy).

Finally, there is no post-war role for suckske. That character exists to motivate the physical development of the main character. Naruto is now fully physically developed, so there is no need for Kishimoto to keep suckske in the story at all after the war.

While I do find that idea interesting I do still have my doubts about a Kage based system like that working so uniformly, especially when you add a new position like the Grand Kage. If we could have just a variation of the Grand Kage plan you've explained, then I may see that working since only one person makes most of the decisions (with the help of aids). That would be somewhat how I added that maybe the Feudal Lord rules over the Five Great nations and then each time a new one needs to be picked they can elect anyone from the once Five Nations. While I do somewhat agree and like the idea of the Grand Kage, it kind of gets washed away in my opinion if we continue to keep the old Kage system, but at a lower level.

@obikage

I agree. Just because this new system would be in place doesn't mean peace will necessarily be there all the time. However, if we continue with the old tradition of 5 different Kage, then there is bound to be some dispute between them. If that dispute gets out of hand, then they may face another war, and or, invasion of their respective villages.

@SuicideCircus

Thank you for the +rep.

@so12p

I have stated a possible system in which the Feudal Lord may take control of the new Alliance and make the decisions there. When a new one needs to be elected, then they can chose from the people they have. However, like I have said, if they go back to the same principal of a Kage system, then what's to stop another war from happening when two different Kage's decide to butt-heads with one another? One person leading it seems fine to me, but a Kage system for an Alliance is too much.

Also, never judge something by its title. Just because the anime/manga is called Naruto doesn't mean it will end the way we all expect it to. For all we know Kishi could have Naruto not take the role of Hokage (if he choses to keep the system) and pass it on to either Kakashi or Sasuke. Or, he may not want it anymore after the war is over and he's seen what the Kage's before him have done.

Anyways, thanks for your input nonetheless.

@Dylan Uchiha

It's a long shot, yes, but anything really can happen. I stopped trying to predict Kishi's movements in the chapter ever since the Pein arc was completed. Since then he's been known to throw some curve balls our ways. It may be some out-of-this-world thinking on my part, but wouldn't be surprised if something along these lines (or close to it) MAY happen.

Some strong points to ur theory but also some that wouldn't work.

1- Each land or village has to have a representative of sorts they could have a Ninja system but like the UN where ideals for the better meant of all would be talked about. The fuedal lords are jus figure heads to the Ninja system like politicians the Kages would use them like Vice Presidents but they would have limited powers. The ninja system can be reworked but couldn't be abolished unless everyone lost the use of molding chakra altogether.

2 - I don't see Naruto or Sasuke being any kind of hermits my theories on why not.

a: After the war Naruto and Sasuke will lose their God like powers but still be gifted to a point but not as powerful. Naruto being a born Jin would possibly still have some of the other Tailed beast power or jus have Kurama and the others would either be free or go into solitude away from humans even possibly become apart of nature (thats another theory i've had).

b: If the cycle of fighting between the reincarnated brothers ended with Naruto and Sasuke I can see Sasuke restablishing the Uchiha clan and protecting the village he was born to and the one Itachi died for.

c: Solitude isn't for everyone and as we have seen both Naruto and Sasuke need people or someone at their sides. Naruto isn't cut out for the loner role as many think Sasuke is a loner but he isn't examples; Taka and Hebi not a one man cell but 4 and then they joined Akatsuki even if it wasn't really a team he needed them for his own means.

I enjoyed ur theory none the less thanks for sharing

Yes, I do agree with your point in regards to Kage structure and about its existence still leading to a difference of opinion. But regardless of all this, whether the system is changed or not, peace is just impossible. As long as people i.e shinobi have the privilege to make their own choices, there will always be someone who wants to rise against the rest. If Naruto thinks he can establish true peace, he is completely oblivious and ignorant. While I do believe he will take the shinobi down the right path, the term "true peace" is just impossible. The only way it can be achieved was through Madara's ideology being 'IT' but then your taking away a persons privileges and rights to really do anything while one person will rule above the rest. But depending on the users ideals, essentially there is nothing that can go wrong either way, but humanity would cease to exist.

The ninja system doesn't need to be abolished. And if it were, I don't think removing chakra would really help. The only thing in my opinion that needs to be strongly reworked, and or, removed is the Kage system. Hashirama himself spoke that he envisioned it being something totally different and that his ways lead to what has been happening now. If the Kage system continues, then who knows that will happen. However, I do not see an issue with creating a new structure as you have pointed out in your post and others have as well. The only problem is that it needs to be a system that doesn't have five other powerhouses making decisions and others worrying whether one of them (or all of them) decide to butt-heads and attack one another or the whole Ninja world. We've seen the Kage system in action these past 600+ chapters and it really hasn't been all Hashirama hoped it to be.

And thank you for enjoying it ha.

@jazza1017

In terms of complete peace, yes I agree. Complete peace is a strong goal that Naruto has had since Jiraiya entrusted it to him on one of their adventures. However, it isn't something that will be accomplished so easily, if at all. Personally, I don't really see this as something being the discussed as accomplished by the end of the manga, but something that will be worked on with the hopefully new system that will be put in place after the war and final villain has been defeated.

The best we can hope that Naruto gains from ending this war is cooperation with one another.

Excatly why I believe it should be made into the UN with jus representatives from each village. In my opinion the Fuedel lords and their advisors are the ones that are to blame since they are the ruling body and the Kages take orders from them. So wouldn't the blame for alot be put on them since they are the real rulers of each ninja country?

I guess in a way we can see that. However, not because they appointed their respective Kage for their village. I would lay the blame of what the Shinobi system has become because of their lack of participation in the village. Besides appointing their Kage representatives for their village they have shown no real interest in what their village really does. Well, none that I could find in the manga.

They were even portrayed to be rather lazy and "carefree." Practically only coming together to make a real decision and flaunt their powers when the idea of a Shinobi Alliance was brought up. Heck, even then they seemed to not care as much.
