being a hokage doesnt depend just on being loved.

he cares about his village. he wants no more clan to be the next uchiha (experiencing what uchiha once did), wants no one to be the next itachi nor shisui (you already know what happened to them) which are the reason why he wants to become hokage. heknows what heppened to the village, the history of it, the mistakes prev hokages did in the past, and came up with solution. unlike naruto who sees hokage as a dream, sasuke sees that moree as responsibility. he can prevent things happened in the past caused by hokages from happening again

and he's indeed able to make it happen. he's genius, defo could handle what hokage does, he's calm, strong, and fully committed to konoha. he may not be loved by naruto's friends, but they indeed have trusted him.

he will surely become the war's hero after what he's done, along with naruto as well (also remember his eye that could cancel the IT, while naruto can't) and with the trust of naruto friends, and being a hero war, thats enough to make him become hokage. when sasuke was about to kill obito, minato stopped him, and tsunade also reacted the same. if tsunade the hokage gave chance to obito, the main villain and also the one to have created the war, why not sasuke who helps the SA top stop juubi and the villains.

Apart from the undeniable wank that's present in your post, I agree with the majority of posters although both did an equal share of work to contribute to ending the war.
