Naruto/Sasuke Fans

First off, I would like to say please no flaming, bashing, hating etc..

Now, my question is why is it that Naruto fans seem to hate Sasuke fans and vice-versa??

I really am genuinely curious because I am a Naruto/Sasuke fan so I don't understand:shrug:
I've read posts where Sasuke fans called Naruto fodder and posts where Naruto fans call Sasuke gay etc...

I don't get the hate because if you ask me both Naruto and Sasuke are true bosses


Anyway I wanted to have an intelligent, polite conversation about it so again no bashing, flaming, etc...:ice:

It's the cycle of hatred on the Narutobase. Some guy probably started hating on Naruto and saying Sasuke was better (or vice versa), so somebody else decided to do the opposite.. and it probably just sprouted from there. Since they're main rivals, it's easy to pit them against each other.

There are fans who like to underrate the characters they don't like and of course that sets off a reaction from the fans of the other character.
Most enjoy the bashing of the other character because they can piss off people; they think that's funny and mature, I don't know.
I'm a fan of both Naruto and Sasuke and I don't see the need to bash either of them.
The problem is that for both characters there are fans who are too enthusiastic and overpower their character, which of course sets off another flame war then ... Plus if enough fans do that, soon all fans of that character will be grouped together and nobody of the fans will be taken seriously anymore.
But to be honest, Sasuke gets bashed more on this forum than Naruto.
And most people don't take the time to understand a character's personality and actions before they start bashing it.
