Well ever since obito was revealed, I have been racking my brain over his whole charactor, add madara and its enough to keep me up at night.
first of when obito attacked the village I think his plan was purely to set the uchiha up, I doubt he had enough power to control the kyuubi for long, and Sealing the kyuubi wasnt a good idea since the bijuu need to be sealed in order. If obito was not after the kyuubi, then I can not think of any other reason worth risking your life against minato when obito clearly was not ready for ftg and could have waited until he was more capable.
Why would obito try to provoke the village to eliminate the uchiha? because of project tsuki no me of course, its my understanding that the sharingan is immune or at least gives a greater chance of breaking other sharingan jutsu. and with ninja like itachi n shisui lurking thats the last thing you want.
now i want to touch on madara, because I used to think that it is ridiculous to think madara lived long enough to meet obito or nagato, but when obito reveals the truth of itachi to sasuke, he says madara fought hashirama 80 years ago. Now subtract 16 and change to obitos death, madara is around 80-100 years old i think. now this is a new theory that I'm working on, but when obito is talking about madara he says that the uchiha are known for their eyes and massive chakra. Madara became the leader because he had greater chakra than even the uchiha had ever seen, How so? Well what if madara is both uchiha and uzumaki, I know its crazy, but i have been thinking that nagato is madaras son I just wanted to add on that and i don't have much to support this so im just tossing it out there. uzumaki clan was destroyed but no one has ever gone into who did it or why, maybe kishi is saving this for madaras flashbacks eh.
anyway so madara saves obito and obito attacks the village, somewhere around this time madara spends sometime in the bloodmist village and recruits kisame. Also around this time oro becomes a member of akatsuki and I don't know much about what oro was doing during his time with akatsuki but if you have read my threads you will know that I think oro was spying on akatsuki for danzo.
now skip ahead a few years to the uchiha massacre, first off I don't understand how madara, one of the most famous shinobi, can be lurking for so long unnoticed and yet itachi just finds him? I think that madara knew somehow that itachi would seek him out and took the oppurtunity to recruit itachi to akatsuki. Danzo manages to gain some eyes as well as madara and obito. itachi joins akatsuki, and is paired with kisame both recruited by madara himself.now oro tries to take itachis body fails and is booted out of Akatsuki
now shortly after oro leaves akatsuki he not only attacks the leaf but sets his sights on sasuke. I recall danzo telling itachi that he would protect sasuke in return for itachi taking on the secret mission. now this is a bit sketchy but i think danzo made sasuke available to oro in return for oro killing hiruzen and clearing way for danzo to be hokage. remember jiraiya is away from the village until during the attack so its safe to assume danzo is next in line. Now itachi hears about oros attack, and I'm sure itachis first thought was that oro is after sasuke since he couldnt get itachi. So itachi decides to make his presence known and probably to pay his respects to hiruzen, and finally to let the leaf know that akatsuki is after naruto.
so sasuke goes to oro, obito becomes tobi, madara finally dies, itachi seeks out the totsuka blade for oro, and danzo cries about tsunade becoming hokage.
Now Itachi fights sasuke for the last time. knowing he is going to die, itachi takes out oro and tries to get obito too but fails. now here is where things get screwy. Itachi says that madara helped him kill the clan and that if sasuke continues to see things with a narrow mind he will miss the big picture, which he clearly did until now..... maybe. anyway if madara helped itachi kill the clan how would itachi know of obito and better yet how did he know obito would recruit sasuke? well i have a theory that madara intoduced them but obito didnt trust itachi and for the sake of their covers they pretty much waited for the right time to make a move on eachother, also madara liked that kisame wouldnt hesitate to kill a comrad who gets outta line so partnering them makes sense to me. Another question is how did obito know of itachis secret mission if itachi never told anyone? danzo seems most likely although i cant think of a proper motive.
