Here is a possible ending for naruto:shippuden
During the great shinobi war, naruto's friends start to die, these include Tsunade, Kakashi possibly gaara,
And this breaks his heart, he decides to surrender.
Naruto loses kurama, and with the help of the 4 hokages the juubi (now with kurama) is sealed such that kabuto/madara/obito cannot reach it.
Then there is a time leap,
The world is destroyed, remember the child on the prophecy? It says that one of jiraya's students will revolutionise the world for good or bad, it turns out to be bad and the ninja world is like the hidden rain village...destroyed.
Naruto and the others are hiding
Then, another character that is naruto's son is introduced, he is living in a time of destruction, where probably naruto or/and his mother is killed, therefore he has a thirst for power as well as peace, somehow naruto (before he died ) makes his son the jinchuriki of the juubi (like his minato did) therefore, leaving him with a legacy, the power and the will to become the sage of six paths.
The series is ended by showing his son working for peace.
This theory would work if naruto's wife is a Uchiha or a hyuuga, yes it is naru-hina (since the Uchiha clan is destroyed)
Both naruto and hinata must have dormant senju and Uchiha genes respectively.
