Naruto - Potential Genius? - Just a Thought...

Given the fact that he now has BM, KCM and SM, it's safe to say that in terms of raw power, Naruto has surpassed his father. However, in terms of intelligence, he still falls short. There is a way however, that naruto potentially could get ahead of minato...

I know it's not really fitting of his character to be super intelligent - in fact hes more of the never give up type, and as shown from the story he doesn't exactly grasp onto concepts first time. One of the things that makes characters like Tobi and Itachi so good is their extensive knowledge of the ninja world and ability to analyse well in battle instantaneously. Now that naruto and kurama are on v.good terms, it would be quality if kurama were to either teach him ninja techniques (not sure if possible) or just give naruto info on general knowledge. I mean, surely kurama knows a hell of a lot, the tailed beasts have pretty much been there from the start. I just think it would be the icing on the cake - naruto's already got the power, add on the intelligence and he could make an amazing Kage...

Anyways as i said its just a thought. It's my first proper thread so i'm just giving it a go, let me know what you think

Naruto is smart, it is just not book smarts, in battle he can be the greatest mind.

Great battle intelligence, but I'd love to see Kurama train him.

Naruto has actually thought of pretty good plans in the manga before. Eg. against Zabuza, the Kiba fight, fighting Neji, against Pain, etc.

However Kurama should have knowledge, which is also extremely valuable if need be.

Yes. Kurama has to know so crazy Uzumaki techiques, After all he has been inside Kushina for a while. (no pun intended lol).

Naruto will have very good battle intelligence in the end but I doubt he will become a genius. If he did become a Genius he would be to OP and he would become virtually unstoppable.

Nice thread, I like your thinking...but I don't know if it would really suit Naruto's character. I mean as you said he's a get in and go type of person, not really thinking all the time. I do think he has room to improve in a lot of aspects, he doesn't have a wide variety of ninjutsu, and knows very little about genjutsu and strategy in general.

I think if he gets a chance to train further with Bee and Kurama he has the opportunity to learn a vast amount of ninjutsu, fuuinjutsu, and he can brush up on his taijutsu as well. The great thing about Naruto, is that he has clones which as shown when he's developing Rasenshuriken allows him to gain a huge amount of information all at once. I think if Naruto were given a year or so to train in this manner he would be unstoppable.

He will gain intelligence and strategy as a shinobi if he keeps fighting and honing his skills. Experience can go a long way.

I think naruto is a lot smarter than most people think he is. He is clumsy, it's part of his character, so people think he's completely stupid.

He learned how to do rasengan when he was very young, and created his own original technique, rasenshuriken, when he was like 16. Not to mention he completed a jutsu that neither Kakashi or Minato were able to complete, both of whom are considered geniuses.

yeah true in terms of quick thinking and planning in the heat of battle, naruto is definitely up there because of the pranks he did in his youth. On the wisdom/factual knowledge side of things, he could be amazing with kuramas help
