naruto plot hole or not?

*ive made a thread with a dozen naruto plot holes before i think i've just stumbled onto another one though*



it seems that you have to open the first gate to do the regular hidden lotus.
sasuke copied the hidden lotus from lee when they had a small fight. kakashi learned to use the gates when he saw lee use them at the chunin exams.
sasuke used his own version of hidden lotus but doesnt that still mean that he can open the first gate?


if so why hasn't he practiced more on the gates? as it would seem that would be a quick boost of power.

so question here is, is sasuke able to open gates? or is this just some information thats been left out?

I guess since sasuke does shi shi rendan (Lion combo) instead of the front lotus it might not need gates opening it's just my theory

rock lee never did the whole thing so on the chunin exams, when he made the lions barrage, he improvised at the end

just because lees taijuitsu was copied and taught, dosen't mean Lees skill of opening chakra gates was copied. It would be too much if he could, on top of that opening chakra gates is a doubble edge sword. Doing so wrecks the body.

No. Lee only used Dancing shadow (which was the kick into the air and appearing behind the enemy), which was what Sasuke copied. And it has never been said where Kakashi learned the gates from but it wasn't there. His sharingan wasn't copying due to his headband being over it at the time.

Just because Kakashi uncovered his Sharingan doesn't mean he was copying. He was just taking a closer look. That's it.

how was sasuke able to move that fast around gaara to get through the sand defenses?

i think kakashi taught sasuke how to open the first gate.

sasuke didnt use the lotus only the dancing leaf shadow which he copied from lee. the lotus itself is the part where he wrapped the bandages around and slammed them im pretty sure. so no he cant open the gates. the reason he was so fast against gaara was all they did for their training was work on taijutsu and the chidori

Why would Kakashi teach a move to Sauske that made him loose respect for Guy for teaching Lee? Kakashi seems totally against using the powers of the chakra gates? Lastly the sharingan dosen't / copy levels of skill. If it could Sauske could just use Chidori/rasangan after seeing Kakashi use them, and be just as proficent.

Kakashi was copying lees taijuitsu. Then taught the moves to Sauske, while they were working on Chidory. I think it says it in the chapters/episodes where Sauske is running late to the final rounds of the chunin exams.
