Love the serious nature of Shippuden, but after the 5 Kage Arc I really stopped caring. I watch more part 1 Naruto, but read more early part 2 of the manga.

Shippuden. It had more badass techs and more feels to it.

p1 was awesome. Chunin exams, Zabuza arc, Gaara and Lee, Orochimaru, Sasuke vs Naruto. Awesomeness

Part 2 had the storylines go on for too long. Waiting for sasuke to return, waiting for obito to capture the 9 tailed beasts and waiting through that terrible war where a bunch of characters were brought back but did nothing. Part 1 looked more at the characters and had more emotion, I think i was sadder seeing neji almost die against the spider guy in part 1 than his actual death.

Although, the pain arc in part 2 is the best arc for sure.

Part 2 definitely, even if the the pacing was uneven in the final 100 chapters and the Gaiden set up at the end was pointless and shameless.
