Naruto or Shipuuden

So which one did you prefer and why.

I prefered Naruto *not the shipuuden version* because IMO it was all awesome before the trouble started *tobi wanting to take control over the world etc...* when itachi, jiraiya were still alive.

The original Naruto was way better.

Shippuden, Not only the characters have evolved but the OST's too, Also Naruto was a bit too noisy in Part 1 it's a good thing character developpement.

Well I enjoyed the Naruto series because of the mission-based plots. Had some pretty awesome moments during the chunnin exam arc!!!

However, I like the Shippuden series because it caries the characters individual storylines - and the battles are much more devastating

I'm going to say Shippuden in the poll, but I like them both for different qualities

I disagree, if anything Sakura is one of the only people who have changed after the timeskip.
1. She doesn't use that Inner Sakura thing to express her feelings.
2. She puts her faith in Naruto and cares more about him then she did in the original series.
3. She is more confident in her abilities.
4. She is not fangirling over Sasuke and not begging for his love like she used to.
5. And she has actually improved her abilities.

Her "hitting" Naruto in Shippuden is mostly filler anyway.

If your looking for characters who haven't developed those would be: Shino, Tenten, Rock Lee, Neji, Kiba, Ino, etc. They act more or less the same because Kishi doesn't feel the need to develop them.


For me I prefer Shippuden as well.

I enjoy most of the characters more in Naruto Shippuden and the fights are a lot gnarlier.

I prefer Naruto because it had waaaaaay better fights. Shipuuden is just too over the top that it doesn't even seem like ninjas anymore.

These were, in my opinion, the best fights in the entire manga because since it was so early on in the story we had no idea who would live or who would survive. Anyone could have died and it would have surprised us.

Now, we know who's going to win almost every battle because it's predictable.



There are a few fights in Shipuuden that were magnificent (Jiraiya vs Pain, Sasuke vs Itachi, Naruto vs Pain, etc), but for the most part their not as exciting as the older fights were

i feel the first part of naruto was great because of how small scale it started on but even at the start of naruto and the small scale you knew you where going to see a large scale fight coming in the future.

naruto is there to make promises

and

naruto shippuden is there to full fill the promises.

thats my take, original naruto showed a more mission based plotline and wile the fights were good they werent what we have today. I love shippuden because I think the animation in general has gotten better and the fights and the fact that they focus on individuals is nice

Well both are very remarkable indeed - great storyline , characters, fights , excitement , commotion. I admire shippuden , cuz of the antagonist's and main characters development and so on..

I like them both but for the purposes of this thread I picked part 1. I liked the more rounded character development in part 1. We knew about many people rather than the few focused on in shippuden. I'd like brought back into part 2. However part 2 is more mature, better animation, and action and I also [refer that. The two should combine to make a series called...Naruto Shippuden?

Naruto was just a build up to the main storyline

Shipuuden;

Mainly because the story has advanced so much more, every individual story line and so much more emotion in it. Also the fights got muuch mooore intense and I am excited how it will go on ^__^
