Nothing about this short blond moron was ever enjoyable to me. His never ending fapping spree of wanting to rescue Sasuke continue to get on my nerves and for the people who actually enjoy it, you obviously lack the understanding of what a good character is. Sasuke is a much better character for many reasons that would take a book to explain, but I guess I will say that ever since Shippuden started, Naruto has turned into an even more shitty character than what he was before but this time with unrealistic goals. His goal used to be the achievement of Hokage status, but now that Sasuke left the village his goal has been to save him, which in my opinion completely negates everything that he worked for in part 1 and makes him look really stupid. Most Naruto fanboys or even fans just like Naruto for his power and powerups, and people like to excuse this as being a shounen for saying that it's ok, but there is more to a shounen than just flashy little tricks with different colored balls. If your story sucks ass and if you act like an idiot then I'm not going to bother with you.
I like Sasuke for his drive, his dynamic persona, interesting backstory and his mysterious nature. You never expect his next move and you can't really understand what is going on in his mind. With Naruto, it is quite the opposite. He is cliché, you almost always expect what he is thinking, or what he wants to do and he has no drive other than the main boring typical hero who wants to "protect his friends" with stupid unrealistic ideals of everlasting peace. Naruto still thinks like a child and still acts like a child, and he even tries to save people from the darkness by instilling his stupid principles into their mind when in fact he doesn't even know most of their places to begin with. Just like Sasuke said during the beginning of Shippuden, "instead of wasting time on me, you should have spent more time on training".
Naruto's character is a joke and pretty boring to look at. Nothing exciting about this 5 foot 4 plebian. Sasuke on the other hand has had many exciting changes that made the story that much more fulfilling to look at. In my opinion, Sasuke has made the story more interesting than the main character himself, which is pretty sad on Naruto's part.
If you take a look at Sasuke's swift motivation, he has changed quite a lot when involving his goals, but he is the one who has completed the most goals in the story.
> He lived a good life as a child in his clan. His brother killed his clan and family in front of his eyes.
> He then questioned his existence and plotted for revenge on Itachi
> He then discovered a new home in the village and with team 7
> He started to notice a rival and began to accept him
> He then noticed Naruto's strength and became irritated so he challenged him
> He finally realized his purpose of why he lives so he left the village and went to Orochimaru for more power to beat Itachi
> He came back from the timeskip even stronger with the same resolve
> He backstabbed the same man who made him stronger and absorbed him
> He gathered a new team to look for Itachi
> He fought Itachi and ended up accomplishing one of his main goals
> He discovered the real truth of why Itachi killed his clan which resulted the demolition of Konoha
> He soon realized that Danzo (a leaf member who cased his clan to be destroyed) was his next target and needed to be killed
> He killed Danzo and completed yet another one of his goals
> His meeting with team 7 which brought about new feelings and new changes but Sasuke's resolve was still the same
> His new power with the EMS and his constant growth with his Sharingan in the current war
> Meets his brother again and starts to have doubts about destroying the village
> Resurrects Oro back to life to bring back the previous hokage to give him answers on his decision
> He then decides that he wants to become Hokage to change the current ninja system as the old one has failed as long as ninja were alive
But what has Naruto's story been about?
> Not being accepted into a village because he has a beast within him
> Meeting new people that comforted him
> Soon gaining Sasuke as his rival
> Realizing that he needs to bring Sasuke back so he leaves on that soul purpose of bringing him back
> Comes back from the timeskip weak as hell and Sasuke even proves this
> Lets the Kyubi take over him many times just for the sake of Sasuke
> Decides that he doesn't want to become Hokage and instead just die with Sasuke
Sasuke is better written and it's clear who I like or prefer more. Sasuke is just overall a better character.
