In terms of impact and the awe factor, it hasn't. However, its quality is better. In fact, most of the shonens surpasses Dragon Ball Z in quality, but don't equal its awe factor.

I dont know about that. Naruto has always been touch and go on US television(Yes Ive seen all of Part 1 on it and large bits of shippuden). DBZ has been a staple for 20 years straight

Goku has natural talent but he was born the weakest. If I remember in Planet Vegeta kid Vegeta was called a Genius. So how could a non talented surpass a talented who train himself to the limit ?? DBZ is shit. Akira is Shit.

After the Pein arc, Naruto went down hill. DBZ went down hill after the Cell Games, but my anguish with DBZ was short, because the Buu saga was short.

DBZ is a classic. The characters are extremely likable. Even the villains are likable. They have a sense of humor and the show never gets too serious. I could watch it over and over again. I love Naruto but I think DBZ is a better show over all.

DBZ can't be surpassed in greatness due to being one of the firsts in its kind. That being said, in terms of quality, it'd kind of be silly to say DBZ is on the level of its successors.

How about you all come back in 17 years after the Naruto anime ends, when fans make such a clamor that they make a new Naruto movie and it opens at the number freaking 1 spot in the box office in Japan and does so well that the series is brought back in anime, manga, and another movie...

PS: It's going to be DBZ.
