Naruto Opening gates

In naruto vs gaara fight in part one
naruto collects a lot of chakra and creates hundreds of shadow clones to beat up gaara before he completes the final transformation. just before this match i saw lee opening the gates with gaara....so i thought naruto was opening the gates too when he collected chakra.......naruto has a lot of chakra..did he open any of the gates?

Can't even picture naruto using the gates, it doesn't fit his style

No he didn't open up any gates at that fight. Since he is an Uzumaki, he is given a large amount of chakra to use. So basically he used his large chakra pool to summon all the clones
