Naruto: New Generation! Hanzō's Story (Chapter 7)
Hokage
The Underworld, the realm of the dead ruled by the mighty lord Rikudou Sennin. Everyone that died in the normal world went to the world of the dead right away, many great shinobi like Naruto, Itachi, Sasuke and Gaara were there, living in peace. There were of course some differences, like the sky. The sky was always dark red and the clouds were black, the world was ''heavy'', everyone living there had no needs, therefore no one ate, slept and had necessities and they didn’t even need to breath. Their god, Rikudou Sennin, and some of his subordinates, every month made a tournament, in which the winner would win a great reward, one that you could not win easily in the living world. The chosen to fight were considered very lucky, for there were only chosen eight out of millions of great shinobi who registered the tournament. In one of those tournaments Hanzō was one of the few lucky ones. Even luckier for him, his opponents didn’t match his power therefore it was easy to win the tournament. After he won, he was automatically teleported to a big grey mansion, empty. As he walked through the big red doors, one of Rikudou’s subordinates, Jiraya, shows up. They talked about the great performance Hanzō had in the tournament, and a while later, he received his reward, the Rinnegan. But it wasn’t an ordinary Rinnegan, it was a Level Two Rinnegan also called Futa Rinnegan, it was developed by Rikudou Sennin in the Underworld. Hanzō was teleported back to the capital of the Underworld, Mashikure. Years later, some chakra came from the living world, the chakra from Edo Tensei. Hanzō manages to bring the chakra towards him and he and some of his friends that were next to him get revived. He kills one of the adventurers that unintentionally revived him and he kept the other one under the control of his Futa Rinnegan. After being informed that if he made a special potion that would make him live forever, he joins Konohagakure, in the hope of finding some ingredients for the potion and a hideout. This is the story of Hanzō…
Hanzō: Thanks to my great genjutsus, no one will ever suspect that we are dead, not even the best genjutsu user in the world.
Zabuza: Yes, but what will we do now?
Zetsu: Isn’t that obvious? I’m guessing Hanzō will try to be friends with the Hokage to gain some control over the village, but that might be hard.
Hanzō: Yes, but first I need to forge some Konoha headbands for us, and even like that I don’t know if it will be easy.
Zabuza: Hmph, I wish Haku was with us when we got revived…
Hanzō: That has nothing to do with what we’re doing right now, forget about that… boy…
Zetsu: Ahaha!
After forging the Konoha village headbands, Hanzō leaves the others for awhile and goes towards the Hokage’s office.
Guard 1: Whoa Whoa Whoa, where do you think you’re going?
Hanzō: I… I need some help from the Hokage…
Guard 2: How come we have never seen you here?
Hanzō: Uhhhh… I… never… came here…
Guard 2: Hmm… Alright, you can pass, but we will take you there.
Hanzō: Hmph… sure.
They arrive at the Hokage’s Office.
Guard 1: Konohamaru-dono, there’s someone who needs to speak with you.
Konohamaru: Oh yes… let him in, there’s nothing to do these days so it’s always nice to get some visits aha.
Guard 1: Alright, go in.
Hanzō: Hokage-sama, I’m… Hanzō.
Konohamaru: Ohh pleasure to meet you young man, are you new in town, I have never seen you around here.
Hanzō: N-No, I just never came here before.
Konohamaru: Didn’t anyone ever tell you that you are a bad liar?
Hanzō: Uhh?
Konohamaru: Although I’m almost 160 years old, I still read people pretty well eheh.
Hanzō: Uhh, sorry… I’m from Sunagakure… I didn’t like being there because… of the weather, yeah.
Konohamaru: Hmm, well I think you wouldn’t lie to me twice, so did you come to ask me if you can live here?
Hanzō: … Yes, I also came here to ask if I could, maybe be assigned as a team leader, a trainer.
Konohamaru: Well young man, of course you can live here, Sunagakure has been getting hotter and hotter these days, and 100 years ago it wasn’t as hot as it is now. About the trainer, I consider myself as a very nice old man, but that’s just too much to ask, maybe in some months or so, if you show me what you can do and prove to be a good person, which I’m sure you are.
Hanzō: Oh… thank you Hokage-sama, when can I show you what I can do?
Konohamaru: Talk to one of the Jōnin, they’ll help you. Well, it’s getting late, an old man like me should rest a little.
Hanzō: I’ll take my leave then…
Konohamaru: Alright young man, good luck on finding a place that suits you nice!
Hanzō leaves the Hokage’s office, angry at the Hokage for making him wait months until he even gets the opportunity to get an important role in the village.
Months later, after making a lot of visits to the Hokage, after showing his power to the village and being assigned the role of Jōnin, Hanzō goes to another of his daily visits to the Hokage.
Konohamaru: Hanzō, my good friend, come in come in.
Hanzō: Konohamaru! How are you today?
Konohamaru: The same, bored and dying. I’m not the young man I was a long time ago, when I was one of Naruto’s disciples. I’m not the best shinobi in the world anymore, every day I feel weaker, I’m fading away. And everyone knows it.
Hanzō: Don’t be like that Konohamaru, you still have a lot more to live!
Konohamaru: You know that’s not true. I’ve been thinking about this for a while now, and I decided to promote you… to Hokage. Since you came through that door the first time I felt something different in you, and I was right! You have clearly proven you are the strongest in the village, but not only that, you are also smart and conscious in your acts.
Hanzō: What? Really? Thank you Konohamaru!
Konohamaru: Don’t thank me, you did it all yourself, you deserve it.
Hanzō: Why now?
Konohamaru: I’ve already told you, I’m getting old… I feel like I’m going to die very soon.
As Konohamaru predicted, he died weeks later when Hanzō was already the Hokage.
Zabuza, Zetsu and the others were in their hideout, in a forest nearby and they had discovered all of the ingredients they needed, after a long research. Hanzō and the others decided that they would start that plan when they had control over all of the village and surroundings. To prevent the plan from going to waste, Hanzō killed every of his friends that came from the Underworld with him, and he putted them under the control of his Futa Rinnegan. Time went passing until what currently is happening, where one of the shinobi under the control of Hanzō’s rinnegan escaped, and now Hanzō is forced to proceed with the plan of making the potion.

! I've not seen any Uzumaki or Senju live that long. I guess plot is on his side
