I feel Naruto did good against Pain. I don't think you should discredit his efforts. Minato helped Kurama and Naruto as well. Otherwise, Naruto would have been trapped in Chibaku Tensei.

Please EMS would destroy SM. MS Sasuke would give Naruto a tough time. You also forget that his SM at that time was limited to the five minutes stipulation without the other clones gathering natural energy. Also, Sasuke has Amaterasu at some point i don't know how Naruto will dodge the attack. Raikage was barely able to evade it, but he has enough speed. Current Naruto has the speed to dodge Amaterasu. SM Naruto doesn't have that capability to dodge his attacks.

Not destroy it would be a tough fight for Sasuke. That's clearly not the case anymore since his able to make sage mode clones now that are apperantly as strong as him. SM senses chakra before the technique is even made take Kabuto as example he was able to dodge it due to SM sensory Naruto would do the same. Raikage was barely able to avoid lol? He dodged a close range Amaterasu with ease. Sasuke fanboys sure love to overrate Amaterasu.
