Naruto Namikaze????

If the custom in Japan is for children to inherit the fathers surname, Shouldn't Naruto be Namikaze instead of Uzumaki. In addition he does not have the red hair of the Uzumaki clan and resembles his father (Minato), whay is this never remaked in the series?

Another oddity is that has never used Fūinjutsu much which is the specialty of the Uzumaki clan. Was this explained on the manga somewhere?

No one taught him fuinjutsu. Also if his last name was Namikaze people would've found out he was Minato's son.
Also it makes the audience wonder what the Uzumaki clan is......

Plot no jutsu. It was a mystery who naruto's parents were in part 1. Giving his father's surname would give it out, considering how much attention the fourth has already been receiving.

False. Naruto has used the Torii Seal which is derived from the Eight Trigrams Seal. Other than that why would Naruto need to rely on sealing? The Torii seal is an advanced seal anyway...
