Neither Sasori or Deidara were from part 1 but they made top 10.

Iruka's literally only had about 2 or 3 chapters focused around him yet he always gets a high ranking.

How much a character is focused on has nothing to do with how many fans they have.

Uptil that part, sasuke was evil and was basically mad and going around killing people. He got beaten up by bee too.

Naruto was shown with KM who had surpassed raikage in speed and was heading towards the war which made everyone excited. He played a big part in the war at that time.

Gaara is so high up because some emotional stuff about him and his mother was revealed.
Kakashi was shown to battle 7 ninja swordsman and he is always at the top.Regarding iruka, bee said naruto is still influenced by iruka and his teachings. Iruka played a big role in what naruto is now.
minato,sasori,deidara were also shown in the manga recently before the poll.
Itachi is always at the top 10 , since the day he one shotted kakashi.

You are showing me the poll in which sasuke had done nothing and naruto had done everything.
a poll in the midway of manga is NEVER taken as "fair" .
If a poll was to happen now, hashirama and madara would be easily in top 10.

Of course it's possible that Naruto can die in the end. If you think about him being the savior of the world, the savior almost always dies in the end to bring peace to the world. Although I don't think it will happen, it is a definite possibility. And Naruto's death would be written incredibly well, so I wouldn't mind.
