The're moves complete counter eachother which is why, stated by Naruto, If they both fought unrestricted and unnerfed, they'd both end up death, as note by naruto himself.

At least this way, Constructive theads could be made about how there differeces can over come oneother and how as a team, their jistsi could benfit eachother now as they are finally good frieds.
