Naruto wanted to distract a thirsty kaguya so he and sasuke could seal her it's a lot better than Hannibal cannibal madara chewing on hashi's wood.

Btw so he figured out kaguya's sharinnegan has world changing abilities and sasuke still has ameterasu but the flames looks thicker and denser then before at least he can still control their shape.
