The news is from Saiyan Island:
The Naruto manga makes its return in the form of Naruto Gaiden: Nanadaime Hokage to Akairo no Hanatsuzuki (Naruto Side Story: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring Month). This is the Naruto Part 3 mini-series we’ve been waiting for since it was first announced back in November 2014 and it will feature the next generation of ninja, including Boruto Uzumaki, who is the son of Naruto Uzumaki, the Seventh Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village.
The news about the new series comes from the 18th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine which reveals the series will officially begin in Japan on April 27 with the combined Weekly Shonen Jump issue 22/23. The magazine (scan below) teases “Urgent News: The story enters a new generation…”
We hope to have more information on the return of Naruto as soon as the news breaks right here on Saiyan Island. There will also be a new movie, Boruto: Naruto the Movie, which debuts in Japan in August. No word on a North American release yet for the new manga series or movie, but licensor Viz Media is releasing The Last: Naruto the Movie to Blu-ray and DVD this summer, so American fans might get lucky this year too!
