The war arc has already ended... As I have heard, he made an extension on his contract with shonen jump for 2 years. I don't know, when his last contract would end, so give or take, about a 100 chapters more, then it's over.
IMO it's better to get a good ending, than he just keeps prolonging it, and it will be really bad in the end and disappointing everyone, but we will see.

You know what would be hilarious? If sasuke and naruto are about to go all out, but sasuke makes an excuse, and leaves, ending the series. Then Kishi comes out with a third series, making it a series trilogy.
