[Theory] Naruto Manga Chapter 668 REVIEW

Why are people so upset about this chapter? It wasn't THAT bad. We've had worse :| I rate it a 4/5

- Okay, i have to admit the flashback was slightly boring but we got to see the reason why Gai is always talking about youth and where he learnt the gates from. Plus, how Gatsuuga says

I don't know why people are hating on the flashback when nearly every character gets a flashback before they die. Good review by the way.

- I'm assuming, his dad taught him about all the gates but only showed him how to do one. And Gai over the years practiced to perfect all gates to overcome Kakashi his rival as he states in one of the panels "I trained to overcome my rival and i finally have".


- Lol Gai's dad looks exactly like him except for some more hair. I like his character, so easy going and has his own persona. Persona of youth!!! I really liked how Gai getting crazy over his father being humiliated by those jounin shinobi and throwing a rock at them. Even though it got him into hospital.

Is it just me or does anyone else think this is stupid. A child throwing a rock at adults and they beat him up. Child assault much?

- I wonder how Minato knows about Gai's dad. I thought epic characters didnt care about fodders like Gai's dad [ mind you, he was also known as the eternal genin ] I'm joking here so relax


- The ending was awesome. Them facial expressions on Kakashi and Lee, so touching!! At one point i thought he wasn't going to go 8 gates but he did. Glad he did, builds his characters heaps this way =D


- Also, its important to note that Gai's speed is phenomenal. As i remember Madara was in the AIR looking down at Gai, but the next secound Gai & Madara are both on the GROUND. How did this happen, someone care to explain?

Don't sprout nonsense like Gai is fodder wont last two minutes. He will have his time to shine for a chapter or two then will lose or be interrupted i believe from either sasuke or naruto....

To all those who are saying this is a sh*t chapter or not worth reading i understand its your own opinion and you're entitled to your own opinion but think about it, not every chapter can be action filled..it'd ruin the story and quicken its climax

So just keep it inside you and all is good.

Yeah I agree dude, I actually liked this chapter even though plot progression didn't occur that much. Although i'm assuming Madara will eventually beat Gai, I still want Gai to kick his ass for a chapter or two

The bit where madara was flying then close to the ground confised me at first as well but I think its just the angle. Gai jumped up to madara but the angle doesn't show all of Madara's profile so its a bit awkward. He isn't low to the ground its just the background, but as I said the perspective is hard to read since you can't see all of Madara's profile.

gai jumped up in the air not madara was on the ground. if u look at the panel u can see small cracked ground, indicating far distance which should be huge cracks. also, they are above the smoke that madara was above before gai jumped

there was nothing wrong with this chapter people are just impatient this chapter is for all the might guy fans plus if might guy was to die then a flashback is good. i wanna see guy in action as the next reader but i also want kishi to give guy the spotlight with a flashback heck i would have taken another chapter of guys past as it could have shed more light on how guy and kakashis rivalry really happened

Also, impatient people who are complaining don't realise the sooner gai goes into action the sooner we will lose one of our favourite characters. His been with us since the beginning like poor Neji who also died recently.

I'm fine with this chapter as long as Kishi doesn't keep going into flashbacks throughout the whole Gai vs Madara fight. It will go on forever then. Didn't have much progression other than him activating the gate but obviously we were gonna get a chapter about flashbacks sooner or later, so I'm glad it happened now to get it out of the way. So hopefully we won't get many more.

People need to STFU!!! This chapter was awesome, this strong feeling really touches my heart when I see Lee crying and his flashback with the connection with Gai and Dai really felt strong emotion that runs through my body when I read this chapter I shed my tears.


People needs to stop saying this flashback is the worst because this is perfectly placed for the epic moment before his death. I'm really tired of seeing peopel moaning wanting Obito, Sasuke, Itachi flashback, like seriously other characters need spotlight they truly deseve

I think people just want more of Naruto and or Sasuke and their imminent power ups. I thought the chapter was fine but recent chapters have been filled with main character power ups/downs and fake near deaths(is there a term for that?). Gai is definitely a great character but he's holding up the spotlight right now.

Regarding flashbackiness: I understand all the hate for flashbacks but if Kishi is ending the manga soonish then he needs to flashback to flesh out the characters and the world, otherwise it's just barren battlefield Madara stompfest the entire time, plusa artistically it's a change of scenery from the same place.(nobody mentioned how pretty the panels with Konoha in the background were)

One more thing, who are these women that keep breeding with the likes of Might Dai and Rock Lee's mother/father?
