Not great but a necessary chapter, I just wish Kishi would give us double chapters everytime we got one of these, would make it so much more bearable.

Mannn this pisses me off. Not the chapter but the way everyone is reacting to it on this discussion board. Seriously amazing chapter. Nearly brought me to tears. The flashbacks were very important, and for those of you who cannot comprehend the intensity of Kishimoto's writing style, I pity you. If the flashbacks were not included in the chapter, then it would of been a BORING chapter. Flashbacks play an important part, and when I saw Dai sacrificing his life (and his spring time of youth) to protect his son, and bore fruit into the new springtime of youth, it made me truly understand Gai Sensei. And then Gai sensei protecting his pupil (Lee) and blooming the new springtime of youth, and using the analogy that the leaves will become fertilizer for the new trees, man it was intense. Without the flashbacks and all the implications of Dai, the 8th gate wouldn't of been as special, nor as strong willed as it is now. People need to stop complaining about Kishimoto's writing style (sure there are some chapters to complain about, for example when Tobi was revealed to be Obito and literally the whole chapter was obito flashback without words, and one page of Obito's face) but he does everything for a reason, and you must open your eyes and see the true art behind each chapter. I give this chapter 5/5.

Next Chapter i'm expecting Gai to just go all out with minor flashbacks inbetween his attacks so yah gonna be boss. Also Sasuke and Naruto will probably be healed.

I loved this chapter! I always wondered about Gai's past and why he holds so strongly to the springtime of youth. Now that I know I admire his character more than ever. Gai-Sensei I hope you burn bright!!!

Well I am i Gia fan and I say give him his Flash back make everyone remember his death , Tell me this when do have you ever read or watch in the History of all Naruto has Gia the blue beast get ****ed up let alone take a lose ..... not never so show Gia some mother ****ing love , n try to enjoy the flashbacks with (new info) 4/5 *****s

To see you people saying Dai killed all of the Swordsmen is hurting my brain

4 of them survived:
1. Fat shark
2. Raiga
3 and 4 Zabuza's Father or older Brother and Chojuro's Father or older brother.

It seems the rest of them died there thats why they were never shown in manga before war arc their swords died with them my theory is that the swords were passed down family members or somehow related (kisame and fat guy both shark people)

This is the most booring chapter.... And showing gai father dai was unnecessary and it is shown just for the word minato used that even ur father.... It did not fulfill the expectation... 1/5 is the rating i could give... If they just showed what happened to naruto and sasuke then it would have increased the satisfaction level.... Wating for next week chapter.... Hope it would compleately takeover the boring of this weeks chapter and it would be more intresting...:devil:

I thought it was nice to get some more insight into Guy. He could have turned into an angry kid who resented his father's ways and instead he embraced his dad's ways and passed them onto Lee. Guy has lived his principles and is ready to die for them in order to protect his comrades. Guy has a 3 in Ninjutsu and Genjutsu so unlike his dad he did learn some other jutsu other than taijutsu.

For those haters that can't be bothered unless there's a battle: Stop reading and stop *****ing. You get to read it for free and no one asked you to wait up all night to read it, that was your choice. Kishi is not going to care about what a bunch of people who don't contribute to his bottom line have to say. This is probably Kishi's way of paying tribute to a character who is probably going to die.

Man so much friken hate. I like flashbacks. It strengthens the story and the characters. It showed Guy's dad. I find it kinda weird that his name is Dai though, kishi shouldve been more creative lol. Not everything has to be action. I give it 5/5 because I love every chapter and aint a bandwagon hater

I don't know what so special about this chapter, this is just the leaf moto. My problem is we don't have to see everybody's will of fire or protect the king speech. I really think we could have lived without knowing DAI, and have some kage update even though they are fighting nobody but white zetsu clones or even a bee update.
