i dont know about anyone else but i liked this chapter, not to mention none of us know how most of the 7 swordsmen died.. and they probably got smashed by the genin. with 8 gates even a genin will smash a kage, either completely or a short time.

you are also forgetting naruto is still a genin LOL

3/5 for me. I got to reading then minato mentioned guy's father and im like 'shit. flashback time.' i didnt expect to see so much flashback though. wasted so much space that could have been used to show the fight scene. it was interesting to see the transformation of guy though. Fire from his hair AND eyebrows. and his speed was incredible considering it surprised madara himself. I am anxious to see how the Evening Elephant will go and the damage it does. but im not expecting it to take out madara. just kinda hold him off long enough for naruto and sasuke to recover. whenever they recover that is.

his character along with the other swordsmen were in the manga. only the fight with them was filler. he was a real character

Flashback felt like I was a bit too dragged out but it was still fairly interesting. Sad to say I doubt Guy will really do much against Madara even with all 8 gates. 4/5

i know gai cant defeat madara because that is naruto's job.. lol. But at least it will be a challenge for madara and maybe create a bigger chance for naruto to win.

Based on the hype of last week, the chapter didn't live up at all. Previous chapter u build up for an action, next chapter u deflate the build up, very annoying writing style

Everyone is saying this chapter is crap cause its all flashbacks. But they're missing the point. The point is, this is the maximum power of taijutsu vs the maximum power of ninjutsu!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is an epic battle of epic proportions!!!!! Kishi done it right.

To see you people saying Dai killed all of the Swordsmen is hurting my brain

4 of them survived:
1. Fat shark
2. Raiga
3 and 4 Zabuza's Father or older Brother and Chojuro's Father or older brother.

It seems the rest of them died there thats why they were never shown in manga before war arc their swords died with them my theory is that the swords were passed down family members or somehow related (kisame and fat guy both shark people)

This is the first time in a while that i rated a 5/5.
I really liked it. Seeing Gai become this powerful. Red Steam concept is good. In fact, I think Gai is the epitome of all ninja style.. all the other ninja's jutsu are unbelievably strong, where in fact ninjas dont really supposed to have that much power. Its like Dragonball Z now.
I'm just saying Gai's jutsu is more like a boss..

I've been reading the comments, and most people dislike this chapter.. and I really dont get it.
It makes it look like they are not really fans of Naruto manga.

Each character is supposed to have their story. And this is just showing how gai came to be.
If you dont appreciate that, then how would you rather want it. Are you haters saying that this should have been in anohter episode?
That would be more stupid. And it will be more boring (if it was).
