Boring.

Basically what happens when you spend your whole series building up only 2 characters.... no one really gives a sh*t about the rest.

I like Gai and all... but that chapter blew. Didn't care for the flashbacks at all... they weren't really funny or inspiring.... just the same message we've heard a million times already earlier in the series when it comes to Gai and Lee.

but you know that story and if i see more then 70% as Skipped this flashback

Madara is whacked he never saw the 8th inner gate being opened... I guess 8 inner gates belong to a Guy's and Lee's clan... remind me again why is Lee able to to master the gates and looks similar to Guy but not Guy's son?

Thoroughly enjoyed the chapter. I liked the interaction Gai had with his father, and how he really wasn't all.. Loopy at first. I liked the cameo with the seven swordsmen, even the former filler character Raiga showing up (Inb4 KingHashirama thread) and some guy before Zabuza.

Dai was pretty cool. All in all, I liked Gai more after this chapter.

Glad we got backstory on Gai, but did Kishi reeeally have to make it take up the entire chapter with no fight?

If he did indeed solo the 7 swordsman then at least 8 gates will have a feat behind it before Gai goes up against Madara. But that's not confirmed yet so...

i dont know about anyone else but i liked this chapter, not to mention none of us know how most of the 7 swordsmen died.. and they probably got smashed by the genin. with 8 gates even a genin will smash a kage, either completely or a short time.

you are also forgetting naruto is still a genin LOL

Nope. If anyone, I'd choose Kisame to lose to Gai. Getting to know Gai even more only helps make me feel better about who Kisame's last battle was with.
