I liked the flashbacks; my reasoning of reading this manga is much more than watching piss contest between Naruto and Sasuke. Infact; they irk me.

I liked it because villages and politics are appealing and interesting to me more than DBZ rip off fights.
I was curious about first kages, i am glad they had been shown. Also First Raikage looked like Jimi Hendrix; i just could not dislike it.

1st Raikage = 70s and 80s African Americans, and 4th Raikage = African Americans recently i sometimes for get he doesn't have cornrolls but thats what it looks like with his hair combed back same with killerbee

I don't mind the added information.

Edit: In fact, I rather like it.It's a fresh breath of air and nice to see more depth added into the formation of the villages and at least knowing what more Kages looked like. The financial issues of Suna really set the stage and give us a good idea on the village's, most likely, lasting issues concerning currency.

There's nothing wrong with it, other then the possible placement. We all want the action and excitement that so many characters can possibly show. Trust me, I'm itching for Orochimaru and Hiruzen to do something. But, this isn't bad. Maybe it could of been done earlier, like perhaps at the Edo Kage arc [Battle, which ever you prefer]. But it's nice to know Kishi's still trying on the back story.

not to mention the inconsistancies in both fights and power-ups,i mean senjutsu chakra can be added to an already created with normal chakra jutsu then call we call that a senjutsu attack?i thought a senjutsu attack should be using senjutsu chakra for its creation not added later,but meh its kishimoto,also why the god tree didn't make a move to attack naruto and sasuke?guess that kishimoto doesn't want sasuke to get hurt or be cornered,this chapter continue to prove my theory of kishimoto being an uchiha fanboy who doesn't want any of them to get a scratch.
oh,oh,oh and hashirama's hand getting cut by a freaking rodZzzthe whole chapter seems to be written the filler team since this chapter doens't make sense at all.

With hashi shitty memory, this chapter is ****ing ruined. I mean we already know those crap why do we have to see that again. Shit I can't stand kishi for this ****ing flashback and **** you all who got loves this shitty mess.

I'm enjoying these.
It's because we could "assume" things before.. It's nice to have the backing of the manga as well as how it happened.
There's other people who like to know the back stories and see it in the manga and not just assumed.

So much hate, lol. This chapter was good for the following reasons:
1. It was revealed that Sasuke can use a senjutsu Susanoo and that means he can finally hit Obito. So expect Sasuke to go nuts over the next few chapters
2. History was unveiled! We finally get to see the other Kages and the political context of the era they ruled. It was quite awesome to see Hashirama, the god of shinobi, begging them (and the Alliance) to work together.
Btw, all of the new Kages look wicked! I swear one of them was Orochimaru's dad and the other one was Dumbledore/Gandalf =D
3. The current Gokages finally arrived at the main battlefield, so expect some action from them too in the upcoming chapters.

Basically, this chapter set the stage for the next 15 minutes of brutality. I gave it 4/5 and I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

wow man, i believe that more of our members at NB would enjoy Naruto more, if they never read it until it finished to grasp what is happening


Hashi is doing two things [IMO]

1. Reflecting on what it has taken to create the villages and some sort of understanding in the beginning , feeling despair at how things keep failing despite trying so hard

2. Using those feelings to galvanize the ''Troops''

it shows the correlation between him and Naruto even moreso, which was interesting


N.B - I also noticed how at that Kage meeting, it was implied that Konoha collected the biiju, which means Hashi, [probably with a team], took down all the Biiju, which is INCREDIBLE



I also enjoyed Sasuke, and what orochimaru and Tobirama had to say.

Many of the members are upset/happy that sasuke has senjutsu

I disagree, he doesn't quite have senjutsu per-se , but enough nature energy to have his attacks felt by Obito
[It appears from the chapter Juugo is collecting the energy and sasuke is able to adapt it and use it, hoping Kishi clarified more]


Plus no one should be suprised that he carries potential to overtake Madara in the uchiha stakes, as isn;t that what Naruto is about, [new generations overtaking the previous?],



Madara was also stabbing away at Hashi, which shows he does intend to take his ability somehow, [hint at Pein's jutsu with the rods]



It was a great chapter, and sets us up for more

Kishi played a fast one in 648

I noticed quite a few things in the latest chapter 648

1. Minato gave the kyuubi's yin chakra to Naruto

2. The size of sasuke's susanoo rivals Naruto's BM even as it's on knees and it looks better than Madara's legged susanoo army.

3. Tobirama compared Sasuke's strength to Madara's and Naruto's behavior to Hashirama's. Seemingly, there's no way naruto will surpass hashi in strength(until he uses other bijuus chakra) but sasuke will dearly surpass Madara. Was madara not more than 16 when he gained the EMS? if u ask me, Sasuke still has alot of years to surpass madara and evetually, he will.

4. No one should speak about sasuke getting help from juugo and all that crap. Naruto has been getting help from kurama all this while and will soon be getting from other bijuus. So juugo's help shouldn't be compared to kurama's and other bijuus. Juugo volunteered to be sasuke's pet the same way kurama offered to help naruto.
