[Predictions] Naruto Manga Chapter 597 Discussion and 598 Predictions

quite impressed with the way Naruto does his transformations... in one pane he is in Kyuubi Chakra mode, in the next he is normal mode... i mean he has mastered these transformations so much, unfortunately we havent seen much from him in terms of fighting especially against Tobi

Now for those who guess tobi could be obito I really think u guys are probably rt, I would say that I wasnt one of then just because I thought the minato chronicle was just a side project but with this new development someone knew of the edo tensei jutsu besides 2nd hogake.

You are kidding right? Just because it wasn't Spam Clone no Jutsu filled does not mean it was not interesting, it meddled in Tobi's background, the most mysterious character in the entire series.

Great freaking Chapter! Kakashi is awesome he figured out how Pein's Jutusu worked & now he's figured out how Tobi's works.

It was very cool what Kurama said about how the 4th gave Naruto to him instead of the 4th giving Kurama to Naruto just establishing how strong there bond is now.

& the Tobi reveal was awesome now Kakashi asked Tobi "How did u get that Sharinga" & Tobi answered at the Kannabi Bridge.

Now does that mean he found it there on Obito's body? Or that's where it was activated meaning he actually is Obito because that's where he "Got" his Sharingan. LOL

I personally am now going back & forth on Tobi being Obito I can't see a guy like Obito who sacrificed himself to save his friends now wanting to take over the world. But at the same time the things Tobi is saying to Kakashi sound very bitter like he has a grudge with Kakashi.

Obito being Tobi could just be a Red Herring but I won't be shocked if Obito is Tobi. Either way we will know in a couple of chapters can't wait to see it.

I have to agree with you on the bitterness in Tobi's tone. It's like he is holding some sort of personal grudge against Kakashi. And it is that very fact that makes me lean toward the fact that it isn't Obito. Obito was completely at peace with what happened. I think that if he had been upset and angry then he wouldn't have given his eye to Kakashi.

I've said it in a previous post and I'll say it again, Tobi is a complete 180 degree turn around from Obito. The things Tobi says are the polar opposite of what Obito felt and expressed. In fact, Kakashi has even compared Naruto to Obito before, saying they were a lot alike. I haven't completely written off that Tobi could be Obito. I'd think it's more feasible that, like someone said earlier in the thread, Obito's body is being used by whomever or that Tobi stole Obito's other eye (which I still think should have been crushed with several tons of rock lying on it).

As far as the chapter itself goes, I gave it a 5/5 because of the Kurama/Naruto interaction and the explanation of how Tobi's s/t ninjutsu works.

Is it me or did Tobi sound like a father who lost his son, when he told Kakashi " The fight where you were called the hero with a sharingan."? I'm thinking it could be obito's father, or some other older relative

I hear people complaining if it's Obito. Can someone explain why it would be so bad? Is it because they don't want to be guilty for saying Tobi isn't Obito? I'm confuse and am probably the only one who would be surprised if it was Obito(in a good way) and also if it wasn't.

I love this chapter, but I also hate it. Why? The content of the chapter now gives Obito theorists a chance to say "I TOLD YOU SO" when in reality, they're completely wrong. -.-' Now, the base will be flooded with Obito theories. *Sigh* Sometimes, I really hate you Kishi...

Looks like Kakashi knows who it is. Kakashi totally lost it after finding out that he has Obito's eye, and that he knows abotu everyone's whereabouts including his own...He also knows about the promises Naruto made to Jiraiya and the Fourth(in Naruto's Subconsciousness) so WTF and Who The Fuq is this guy?!?! O.O

Haha I think you're looking too far into it. He knows about naruto's thoughts from ranting about them early in the battle.

Now i could imagine his eye survived in the other dimension for a while and some wack story will be told how tobi achieved it.
But if obito is tobi i will be pissed off due to the time line not fitting. Why not just make the uchiha invincible otherwise.

P.s i dont like making guesses but i would like to know what happened to the girl from that group (kakashi, obito, forgot the girls name, minato).

Who says the guy who fought Minato is the same guy behind the mask now known as Tobi? I believe it was Madara who discovered and rehabilitated Obito's crushed body, and I also believe that it was Madara not Obito who fought Minato! I reckon under Madara's supervision, he became Madara's pupil and begin to learn all the forbidden jutsus and gaining full control of his sharingan. And if it's one thing Kishi has taught us is that whoever your sensei is, their ideals and goals becomes your own. And after Madara died I believe it was then that Tobi decided to finish what Madara started, started wearing that same exact mask Madara wore whe he faced Minato, and even went to the point where he wanted to be refered to as Madara himself
