I believe the genin tags are related to the number of post you have, as far as the akatsuki tags its an option in your profile you have to edit. hope that helped :noc:

What a cool technique coming from a dead man (itachi), hope izanami won't be as disappointing as izanagi , coz I didn't really see the advantage when danzo used the forbidden dojutsu against sasuke...and by the way, wasn't itachi sliced into two?

Danzo fought that fight like an idiot. he could of killed sasuke with the first couple izanagis before sasuke figured him out. Instead he wasted like 10 eyes on Sasuke weak ass to prove a point. Who knows, if Danzo was to kill sasuke in that fight, he probably could of got tobi with his shisui genjutsu he never got to show off. what a shame.

Interesting chapter, though I believe Kabuto will not succeed in dealing with Itachi before his fate his sealed. Itachi is indestuctable dispite being heavily battered, and will complete the Jutsu before death.

However, I have had a strange throught as to what Itachi's secert would be. There is nothing concrete to prove this, just conjucture, after all. What could be so secert that Itachi wouldn't tell his brother, even on his death bed?

I believe Tobi is Sasuke and Itachi's father.

Tobi has already explained the events that occured during that time, that the clan was wiped out in it's entirity by Itachi with assistance from Tobi. However how did Itachi alone know and approch him, but the village was for most part unaware. The fox had attacked largely randomly and the 4th and the Host at the time, being the only two to see him, both died taking their knowledge to the grave about this unidentified attacker. Plus we know that Sasukes father was the head of the resistance around that time.

I suspect strongly that Sasuke's father, having inherited Madaras plan continued to forfill the plan, transplanting Madaras eyes onto his own and taking upon his idenity and vision. He used his knowledge to attack the Foxes host at her weakest and released it with the intention of destorying the village, however he failed.

Due to this setback, the rest of the clan became suspect and the plans were discovered, or merely suspected by Root. This meant that he couldn't continue maintaining his daily life and Madara's plan without comprimising his idenity. It was due to this that he revealed his idenity to Itachi alone and they both devised the plan for two seperate reasons. Itachi to wipe the slate clean for a chance of redemption and his father to do the same so he can act freely and establish Akatsuki with the coming of age Nagato, and begin obvertly snatching the tailed beasts. His body being there could merely be that of a Zetsu clone and his brother's MS crippling him to prevent Sasuke from knowing this until they were long burried.

This may be why Itachi never told Sasuke of this fact in life, simply because he would find out from Tobi himself and hopefully be placed on equal ground upon returning to the Leaf as a hero, redeeming the clans tarnished saga and implanting the eyes to be ready for when Tobi did make his move and have his heart steeled by that point to fight him without regret. Unfortunately Tobi got to him first and told him the truth, aside from the nature of his involvement and his idenity and focused him on the Leafs destuction, rather then what Itachi would have wanted. But on the other hand, not telling him Tobi's idenity kept him alive by Tobi to use him and not kill him immediately due to Sasuke attempting to confront him before he is ready. Itachi was aware that Zetsu would most likely be monitoring him more then any other memeber of Akatsuki due to his relations to Tobi so he couldn't risk him catching onto his intentions otherwise his efforts to spare Sasuke would have been in vain.

Of course, it's also fairly likely that Tobi could be merely a clone of any member of his clan or of an adapted Zetus. But I believe the secert Itachi keeps, his reason for knowing it, is why he has held off sharing it for if he did share it, Sasuke wouldn't have had the oppertunity to get the time he desperately needed to become strong enough to be able to stand against Tobi.


Just a bit of theory I have been thinking of for a while, I hope this prompts some thought over both Tobi's idenity and Itachi's unique involvement with him.

This is just a random thought, but maybe Itachi faked his death to provoke Sasuke into gaining a new power and defeating Kabuto once and for all.

Or maybe Izanami requires a sacrifice for someone else to activate it and since Itachi's already "dead," then by sacrificing himself, the jutsu meets its requirements and Sasuke will be able to unleash Izanami without experiencing some sort of backlash?

Regardless, I doubt that Itachi's already down and out; I'm sure he'll come back with a trick up his sleeve.

Izanami was probably activated long before he said "I'm going to activate it now." After all, he's smarter than telling his opponent what he's planning to do right before he does it. Probably just catching Kabuto off guard.

Hell yea, Danzo never got to use his Kotoamatsukami, the genjutsu that itachi used on his self to counter the edo tensei. Kotoamatsukami is just too OP. The real question is, would it of worked on Tobi?

Itachi HAS activated Izanami. I believe he has put Kabuto in the ultimate genjutsu. The reason I say this is because if u look at the last page where Itachi gets raped... His right eye is missing. (Same thing as Danzo when he would get killed by Sasuke) Thus... Kabuto is about screwed.

Are you serious? 1 Danzo used Shisui genjustu at the 5 kage meeting and he couldn't use it again in time even with senju bood in him. 2 Sasuke raped Danzo period. Danzo wasn't trying to prove anything. 3 it didnt take sasuke long at all to see through Izagani.... He has the sharingan for god sake.. Thats is its very base ability

Kabuto owned itachi tho but he's fu*$ed now :d

*sigh* you people don't seem to understand how itachi thinks...its very likely that itachi allowed himself to be sliced -- he thinks through his battles all the way...why not get sliced?? he has an indestructible body - think about it he may have allowed to happen to ensure izanami was activated and also give the enemy a false sense of victory. Yet no one would even ponder this possibility.

Is this a responce to my theory? Because I believe my theory is a reasonable prediction. It would be dramatic, somewhat unexpected (due to his lack of any real coverage in the manga itself.) and it's a close relation to a main character (Sasuke). More probable then any other member of the village (aside from maybe Shisui, but it's more or less established he's dead and without eyes, and why would he give Itachi one of his own, very potent eyes in that case?)

It's quite probable because as said, the fact Tobi and Itachi kept from Sasuke is something that could change the context of the situation entirely from;

Itachi teaming up with Tobi to destory the rest of the clan

Itachi teams up with his own father to destory the entire clan for a mutral purpose, the former to prevent a civil war, the latter to freed from the bounds of his old idenity and is free to act with impurity without suspican. Further more, the clan died because of his father leading up the resistance.

Think about it. There was a resistance movement going on, but at the time the scale or any actions of it had been consealed. The release of the tailed fox is a direct consiquence of the underground movement at the time.

Danzo was heavily influenced by Tobi being there. He never really had his mind set entirely on defeating Sasuke, just defeating him as quickly as possible with as little energy used as possible. It was this lack of fatal intent that cost him greatly, as he let his guard down too soon half way through the fight which enabled Sasuke to regain his composure, forcing him again to battle down to the last eye.


Thing is, a lot of people forget that Susanoo is a mighty hard Jutsu to overcome. It takes a gigantic amount of effort to destory it without wearing out the user, Danzo accomplished it the first time but due to unnessiary taunting he had to break a more advanced version that could fire arrows he couldn't begin to dodge. Susanoo and Tobi were the reason Sasuke won, though the latter was able to take full advantage of that.

Though I must admit, that eye he had was incredable. Decieving 4 Kages aside from one guy in the room, having an assissin party all kill eachother, and Itachi used it to cast a Genjutsu on himself, that eye is truely more potent then the MS itself.

Edit: Wait, it is a MS. xd Still, it's the most scary seen so far in terms of raw potential.

I have a feeling that there is unlimited izanami or izanagi to those summon by edo tensei, the jutsu will just regenerate again after the effect... just like what happen now to itachi he will not die unless they sealed him....
