Okay, I'm glad that you enjoy every chapter of the manga. You are right about this: it's all part of the same story. But I don't all parts are evenly entertaining. I really liked the part where Naruto and Kurama decided to work together: it was very emotional. I also liked the flashbacks in this chapters, because they built up the emotions.
Why do 'all parts' have to be equally entertaining? In every story, especially ones that are in serial format, there are going to be highs and lows, ups and downs. I think that your attitude is all wrong.
But at this very moment, the flashbacks of Kabuto aren't doing much to me. I really like Kabuto as a character, but I find one complete chapter of flashbacks kinda boring. Does that mean that I don't like the manga and that I don't deserve to read it? No, because I know that this is possibly the buildup to a mindblowing chapter. It's all part of the same story, just like you said. And judging the story because of one 'bad' chapter isn't what I do.
But you are judging it. 'This chapter sucked' is the common sentiment of this thread. It 'sucks' for people who aren't interested in the story, rather than the action or conflict. Those are the same people who are crucifying Kabuto as a character, and have absolutely no investment in how the story pans out. They just want to see Naruto kill everyone and save the day.
They don't care how it happens, they just want it to happen. Why should anyone pay attention to those people, much less give them credibility in a thread that's supposed to be about the discussion of the story?
I'm not perfect, and I'm not trying to discredit anyone from having an opinion. I'm just trying to understand why it's important to come here and say 'I don't like this chapter.' Why is that a valid way to discuss it? Why is that worth discussing? As far as I can tell, it's just a way to distract everyone from any relevant discussion about the chapter.
Which is why I think it's important to suggest that people just don't read the manga if they don't like it.
Ofcourse not. But people do it with Naruto. Why? Because a chapter gets released once every week. People build up hopes and expectations, and maybe don't like what they see in a chapter. For example: Itachi reveals the power of Izanami, but 2 weeks later we still don't know what this power can do. People really want to know this, and it's disappointing when you have to wait weeks, and have to read about something else entirely. It's just a normal reflex. I'm glad you liked this chapter! I'm not saying I didn't. I just want to say that I was kinda disappointed.
I'll be honest, I was disappointed that I didn't get to see the conclusion of the fight between Kabuto and the Uchiha bros. However, that doesn't mean I was disappointed with the last two chapters. It certainly doesn't mean that I am going to be here in the thread talking about how the chapter was bad.
It's not my story. I know it's free. But I am also free to dislike what I see and read. But I really like this manga, and that won't change because one chapter isn't as I expected it to be. I respect Kishi as a writer, but he is also human. He can't satisfy everyone with every chapter.
I'm just asking, what's the point of coming here to discuss about how you don't like a chapter? Does Kishi come here for feedback? Does the negativity encourage positive discussion?
