some people do not even (after so many years of naruto...) realize,
that kishi is the freakin' godfather of cliffhangers.
impressive :-D
and when they are still complaining after all this time about fillers
(btw i think filler is an ugly little word lacking loads of respect towards the creators)
than these guys have proven themselves just as sad little people, waiting to be cliff-hanged to complain about...
and nothing else.
at least you could name it right. but it goes always "boring fillers, blabla"
i liked the chapter nontheless,
especially these little new details.
didn't expect danzou to have his implants that early,
perhaps he's just establishing the cover (=just bandages, nothing beneath at this point).
i guess it's not that important detail after all, just wondering...

after reading some of these comments i can tell a lot of you are just into action and can't read lmao.... wtf does sasori have to do with anything... kabuto spyed on akatsuki and sasori was the dumbass that actually believed that kabuto would double cross oro feeding him misinformation.

this chapter was raw, better than the last two ahem dr snakes and all ....izanami is izanami not making a big deal out of that it will be shown.
we saw danzo with the shusui eye which means this is after the uchiha massacare. kabuto is prabaly a teen in this chapter...danzo prabaly used the sharingan to convince mother who seems to have a blood limit power. (i say this due to the way danzo was speaking about her) i would have liked to see what she did.
this flash back was cool and to those who said there is no plot development i would sujjest to stay tune to the next chapter because it will be a flashback and some juicy stuff as well.

I think the backstory Kishi is providing is idiotic and makes no sense; the only reason I rated the chapter a 3 was because it had Danzo screentime... which, um, made me fangirl uncontrollably for about 5 minutes. So yeah.
However, WHAT THE FLIP? Kabuto had a mother-figure? That's in direct contrast with his 'I was never loved or knew who I was until Orochimaru-sama' strain he's been keeping up until now. Plus, the fact she looks like a femme-Kabuto creeps me out.
Next item: Danzo's irrational behavior. Danzo is smart, knows a lot about ninja work, and has raised Root up from kids to be fanatically loyal to Konoha and able to stand up to huge amounts of pressure. But the ONLY person suitable for the mission... was an overly emotional 'retired' woman who didn't WANT to go? I mean, come on!
Next item: They had Orochimaru acting as if he were somehow subordinate to Danzo. This makes zip sense. They're both intensely proud, cautious people who hate each other's guts! Plus, Orochimaru's 'lol i'll be in ur ophanages, stealing ur childrenz' threat was something HE would do, but not at Danzo's behest. There were a zillion war orphans when Danzo was forming Root and more kept coming, he didn't HAVE to steal children. And the whole thing seemed like a Mafia extortion. Just. Plain. Stupidly. Handled.
Next item: Okay, did anyone else call what was going to happen as soon as Kabuto was in Iwa and going all nostalgic over his watch? I mean, the 'oh noes I killed my loved one in disguise' is DONE to DEATH. And in this case it makes zip sense. If they were both spies sent by Danzo (and btw if Kabuto had been Danzo's subordinate he would have stayed with Konoha) then they would have been informed of each other's position. And how did SHE even get to be an Iwa spy anyway? Do they just hire any random woman who comes wandering up to their gate during wartime?
Kabuto hasn't changed his appearance except maybe a different haircut since she saw him, he tells her his name, and she goes 'Who?'

Option A: Bad memory. Sorry Kabuto, your 'mother' has Alzheimer's.
Option B: She broke and decided she actually WAS an Iwa shinobi. In which case - um, yeah, that makes sense. Why did we send her again?
Then, they have Kabuto meeting Orochimaru when he looks... er, fourteen? Fifteen? Personally, I never bought it when they tried to say he was nineteen in his first appearance; he looks like fifteen there. And, as a last little weird detail - who swims around in a river/lake, underwater, with all their clothes on? Orochimaru definitely wouldn't.
Oh, and... do you have the feeling something's missing from the story? A certain red-head puppet master from a sandy place?...

You had Orochimaru, a true villian but he didn´t get trolled, sasuke took advantage of his weakened state, he wasn´t even 40% when he fought sasuke and still he won the fight, sasuke only turned around his technique with his sharingan and managed to absorb him, big f*cking deal.
Also, if you want villians who just kille for the heck of it, you should look elsewhere, you won´t find it in naruto as that would ruin the story and the build-up kishi has been doing so far.
Watch one piece, you´ll find plenty of villians you like.

ok angry rant time prepare for a wall of text cause i'm tired of retards bashing on flash backs :|
First of all flash backs are an important role in many stories and unless your in 3rd grade you'd know that every stroy has them every char gets one without them we'd still be wondering what happened to sauskes clan because we wouldn'd have seen said flash back to the massacre without flash backs chars deaths wouldn't be as emotionally which in my opion is why naruto has survived so far the emotion of the stroy just draws you in when i was wacthing the naruto vs sauske fight the one thing that kept me on the edge of my seat teh whole time was not the fight itself butt what this fight meant to naruto the fight between friends two chars in which i had grown to enjoy wacth fight each other
when naruto met up with sauske again in part 2 the flash backs helped with the emotion the fight with kakashi for the bells in part 2 of how much naruto had grown it all means soemthing so stop F8cking complaining about the flash backs they are an important plot device it also shows us something.
and when madara reveals the truth would you rather he explains it or we see teh images of his flash back? i wanna see how it happened not read it.
me personally found out about the truth of itachi from a friend and really didin't feel to strong about it but after reading it in the manga it went to me.
secondly kabuto

This is frustrating to me too. I've never seen such nastiness over a couple of chapters as these past two are. By the way, dojutsu is very subtle so you wouldn't see what the effects were unless someone said anything.

I agree! Kabuto's back story explains a lot, but it could have been told ages ago - so the war wouldn't be so 'stop start...stop.'
