I liked this chapter a lot. Very interesting to see the background history here. I loved the way Kishi showed Orochimaru in this chapter, for anyone with maturity and sense this was a great read.

I guess most people here are too young to appreciate something without action, but this was anything but a bad chapter. It would have been boring and a waste if there were no familiar characters shown, but the presence of Orochimaru and Danzo made it all worthwhile. Solid stuff.

I'm wondering why some people are surprised and disappointed that this was a flashback chapter, when the flashback just started half way through last week's chapter. Of course it would continue into this week. Personally, I find this backstory to be more interesting than A and B's. What's wrong with a bit of insight? We just found out Orochimaru was a member of Root, as was Kabuto's foster mother, where Kabuto learned his medical skills, and how he met Orochimaru. Ain't nothin' wrong with this chapter as far as I'm concerned.

Great Chapter. Really liked seeing more of Kabuto when he was younger.
Orochimaru worked for Danzo ? Isn't Orochimaru as strong as Danzo.

Actually, this would also help explain Orochimaru's connection to Danzo, including why he might have agreed to inject him with Hashirama's DNA and place the ten Sharingan in his arm. More old riddles, solved thanks to this chapter, yet people are complaining about it. :shrug: I don't get it.

It was an okay chapter, but why show us Kabutos past now, Kishi could've told after the battle between the uchiha's and kabuto was over, like his last words before his death orso is he's going to die...

It's the same thing as always..if the chapter doesn't have big jutsus or features some kind of action, everybody rates it poorly. I enjoyed this chapter. I like it when Kishi goes into depth with his characters and gives them more story. I also liked that we got to learn more about both Danzo and Orochimaru. All of these flashbacks and "extra" information we get from the characters or the Leaf make the Narutoverse more diverse and alive..people should learn to appreciate it.

Well at least we get to see his struggle and what he had to deal with as a young man..all the obstacles he over came..choices he made not to forget how get to the point he's at today! Cool chap

you can say goodbye to kabuto his time has been way over due i just think kishi wants to send him out with a bang why else would he have both brothers attack him? If kishi wanted for kabuto to live i don't think he would send both brothers he would just send itachi and itachi would get owned and turned into a pawn again but nooooooooo he sent in both of them so he can eradicate the sh*t out of kabuto....but anyways just my thought kishi is the man with the plan.

The chapter was OK nothing great though. It looks like Kabuto is going to die since where getting his flashback. That probably means Sasuke is going to kill him which again is the opposite of what Itachi wanted. So that means Madara will still have to be dealt with by the Kage's.

I love the twist in the story and also the back story on Kabuto. It actually made me get to know who Kabuto is. One thing I am disappointed about is that, there is conflict on the back story of Kabuto. If you can remember, during the early years and days of Shippuden we were told that Kabuto was given to Orochimaru by Sasori of the Sand. Now this story tells us a different thing. How then can we reconcile this two different stories. How did Sasori met Kabuto and I also believe that Sasori gave Kabuto to Orochimaru when they were partners in Akatsuki.
I am really confused, if someone can enlighten me on this, I will be glad.
