I like how everyone is so surprised about Kabuto being this powerful, but it only makes sense to have him this powerful, do you really think Kishi would make any of the final akatski member battles anything but epic, also Kabuto has been around since the first series they are going to give him an epic send off. I've always been a bit of a Kabuto fanboy thinking everyone is underestimating him, now people will finally see what I've been thinking all this time

I don't think sauske has any special knowledge of the Uzumaki clan, he just heard that Karin was related to naruto some how so he was surprised, sauske doesn't seem the type to research into narutos family history.

Hm, this definitely foreshadowed Tsunade having Sage Mode as well, since we now know that Orochimaru was a sage himself and the "Legendary Sennin" label means more than just being great shinobi.

I think Itachi telling Sasuke that they will talk after defeating Kabuto is a trick/cop-out. Itachi's plan is to use Tsukuyomi to end the Edo Tensei, however this will also end Itachi and he knows it.

I'd speculated before that Gaara was an Uzumaki because he both has red hair and was a jinchuuriki. This issue definitely supports that. It would also solidify the relationship between him and Naruto as being physical as well as experiential.

I love the explanation of Jugo and his ability's (and therefore the curse seal's) connection with Sage Mode. It can really be used to explain a lot of abilities (especially from the first series) that didn't fit well within the elemental/yin/yang explanation of ninjutsu.

Why did Gaara die when his Bijuu was extracted? Kushina didn't die when the Kyuubi was released! I'm not sure if Gaara's a Uzumaki...

5/5. I'm not the biggest ichigo fan but I have grown to respect itachi, like shikamaru, always one step ahead. Sasuke surprised me, because he didn't just sit and sulk when he was orochimaru, he observed. Clearly he is fighting with emotions rather than his head, but I suspect sasuke will be useful towards the end of the fight, because itachi knows about this sage mode so he will guide sasuke whilst he figures out what to do. Amazing fight, two susanoo's.

I agree, Naruto has just got the eyes ergo a more complete form of sage mode while Kabuto still has scales and bones sticking out his head meaning he has an imperfect form of sage just like Jiraya. Still Jiraya had awesome ability on SM. We will have to wait and see next week chapter.

Think about this, lets say that every sage mode has the same rules(which still probably doesnt apply to kabuto b/c he achieved sage mode through artificial methods), then how do we now know that kabuto is in "perfect sage mode"? If he is using Jugo's ability to absorb energy, then that could be the very reason why kabuto looks the way he does. Remember, Jugo changed into something freakish, when he absorbed natural energy. But on the other hand, we are talking about kabuto. he can very well be lying about being a "perfect sage"

interesting chap... but, for how long Kabuto can be in that mode..... cuz it looks he hasnt controlled completely.... his body turns into snake..... if he control it completely his body wouldn't it become snake...

edit: also i was wondering so you think that the snake sage mode is stronger or as strong and from sage mode, so far sauske doesn't seem to be handling kabuto to well, so it looks like snake sage mode might be a bit more useful against the uchiha sharringan

It must be aye?? maybe thats what tsunade has up her slippery sleaves. And sage mode i think is stronger because it can handle the rinnegan, but the snake mode is like a multiple transformation from snake to dragon which is pritty cool, and there is no dragon toad is there?

Maybe Naruto can upgrade his sage mode from toad to something else. That's what I got from this chapter. After or during the fight with tobi, naruto probably gets transported by the chief toad to get trained for this upgrade.

At the end of the day! Tobi,Madara,and Kabuto are carbon copies of the real thing. Everything about these characters are experiments. The only authentic character to become the true SO6P's is Naruto. Kabuto will lose against Itachi, and Sasuke. Kabuto will be the first villian to exit, next will be Edo Madara, and last will be Tobi.

Toads. Because they are stronger. Gamabunta fought equally against Shukaku and Gamaken fought equally against animal path summonings.

I don't know why ppl are surprise about white snake sage its very evident that all this animal have there own kind of kingdom, we have seen king snake, toad & monkey summonings. And the whole sage mode is very simply kabuto himself said that he was inspired by naruto's will to never give up and curve his own identity for ppl to recognize him, Naruto had uzumaki DNA,kabuto had Karin dna + he's a medical ninja meaning excellent chakra control and last he added nature elemental chakra. So all he needed to is learn how to draw nature chakra and balance it with his in which he orochimarus DNA growing in him.
