Itachi never seems surprised about anything, when it comes to combat. I think he has a plan for everything including Kabuto...Sasuke will be a big part of Itachi's plan.

Slugs can live in humid forests. Seen a ton of them hiking. As mentioned by others I think this means Tsunade is the Slug Sage.
Agree about Kabuto. He could end up the final villain. Talk about a plot twist.

i dont think there was any conflict between sage mode naruto and sasuke so we still dont know how it will go against sasuke

It was a decent chapter, great twist at the end. However, the grammar on the translations as of late has been... difficult to stomach. "As a shy person i'm not used to being stared by other people" -Kabuto "No... He's not longer your friend now, right?" and the whole Dr. Snakes thing? I mean... really? I am very grateful that people are willing to translate the chapters so quickly, but a proofreader would be great.

I read this chapter in my RE lesson at school and started hyperventilating in the middle of class, and then at lunchtime I told all my friends (4) and wouldn't let it go. I then told the people sat around me in biology and spanish, and when I walked home I started shouting about it in the street.

when Tendo pain saw Naruto in sage mode he reacted as if he already knew of the existence of other sages.
By the way its not out of place seeing that it is KABUTO we are talking about here.he was the disciple of Oruchimaru who was one of the legendary sannin.So far,the people we have seen in sage mode have something to do with the legendary sannin, so maybe you should be more keen to Kishi's style and read inbetween the lines.;and don't get all
if kishi makes Tsunade to enter sage mode.

i think itachi realizes how beast kabuto is now that he's a sage think about naruto became a sage and took down pain kabuto vs 2 uchihas might not be a problem!

Hahahaha! Brilliant. I really enjoyed this chapter (though I guess that doesn't say much when you enjoy them all XD).
Colour page with the Kyuubi was a great touch. Loved the Dr. Snakes comments too.
Although when Sasuke says he did a lot of research it sort of made me think - did a lot of research in Orochimaru's hideouts, (presumably) using Oro's books and scrolls - what if Oro was totally trolling him and the info was crap or downright lies xd.
I didn't expect them to break out Susanoo that quickly; but then, Itachi did use it to punch his way into the cave, and Sasuke's been spamming it like a monkey in many appearances since he got the thing.
Something tells me Anko is going to be used in this as well. Like what Kabuto did with the dead ANBU guards in Sasuke's intensive care hospital room.
Although I wonder how well that will work against a sharingan since they can see chakra.
But I'm looking forward to a good fight, sharingan or no, because Kabuto knows about Susanoo and he obviously came prepared to do battle against a sharingan (probably didn't count on two) plus they have the added difficulty of needing to take him alive. So that might mean no amateresu.
Anybody else wondering what kind of sage art or jutsu you can learn at that Shikkotsurin place? Or what animal that is associated with?

Now I know many people have spotted that Sasuke's attitude is his big nerf, but I can't resist commenting on it again.
The little bugger doesn't even know what sage techniques are and he's talking smack. He hasn't noticed, as indicated by Itachi's sudden change in demeanour that - Kabuto's sage mode - is an "unexpected" and (possibly a) rather nasty turn of events.
I wonder how easily they'll be able to genjutsu him too, he seems to be able to have so many eyes ..
It's so funny because I thought Karin might be an Uzumaki ages ago.
Things that made me wonder if she was:
1. That hair
2. Orochimaru's nature (I wonder how many Uzumaki's he experimented on)
3. Her rapport with Sasuke's Konoha pairs - was it just me, or did it seem like she had always been a part of the gang. (I hope she can live in Konoha eventually, she seems to fit right in)
4. She always seemed a little bit too tough. Wasting chakra on Sasuke and then being speared by him in the chest and not even loosing consciousness. Way too tough. Not to mention smacked by a giant tentacle, singed by Amateresu and days later it's like nothing happened.
I'm happy for Naruto. His clan is scattered but I hope he can meet more of them.
I wonder who else is an Uzumaki? Gaara is a red head, so's the Mizukage and the oldest jinchuuriki Rōshi.
I wonder too, who else is of Uchiha descent - with or without sharingan? Surely there was at least one infant among the clan and Itachi didn't kill it (shouldn't have, that would mean he's a liar and a hypocrite). Or someone who had an affair resulting in scattered progeny. (Although being elite and all they may have had an exclusivity complex) :shrug:

(Does anyone else think one viable tactic (in a concerted effort) to facing (Uchiha supposed) discrimination with "Will of Fire" tacked on it, would have been to one, breed like rats? Then say, "have a heart send more missions and promotions our way! We have mouths to feed!")
Anyway, loved it. Sasuke seems like the weak link in the chain. If Kabuto is going to use the Shinobi alliance strategy of sealing Edo's on Itachi, he might be able to create multiple openings by targeting Sasuke.
Any thoughts people?
