I think some of yall need to get a grip and shut the hell up kishi is a great man and a great story teller, so let me clarify somethings up for the poor thinkers,

1. the chapter was great regardless, and for those of you who dont put 2 and 2 together manga is the script of anime and anime is the moving version of the manga. so of course there is going to be flashbacks (not fillers!! idiots).

2. if yall even half paid attention to the chapter youwould have realized the reason for the flashbacks its the 9 tails, thinking back on there adventures, and finally even if its the faintest showing of it. he is starting to trust and believe in Naruto.

and finally 3. those of yall who are whining "omg he made us wait 2 weeks waa waa, these are the only things that make my life go on!" please turn off you computer go outside and do something or just shut the hell up idc your pick. kishi is not your personal entertainer he has a life outside of drawing this amazing manga (strange and unbelievable i know!! but its true) he needs a break, a vacation, time to work on other projects just like every other working man. so you had to wait another week, get the hell over it.

I wanted to give this chapter a four, but for the sake of what it's kicking off I gave it a five. There's gonna be some amazing things after this. But, anyway, I really liked the chapter. Yeah, two or three pages were flashbacks, but it was almost fun seeing so many different scenes, many from the very, very beginning of Naruto. I like the fact that Kurama had Naruto on the mind, too, like latinakis said.

One more simple comment: I usually read the manga on Mangareader. Never again. Go compare THEY'RE translation to the base's. Really.

Anyway I thought the chapter was worth a 3/5 rating. What i'm about to tell you is far more superior.

Kishi is a master. Sometimes even masters make mistakes and maybe the flashback was just one of them. I have no opinion on the flashback.

What i see coming up pretty soon is Naruto becoming some sort of a better version of the sage of six paths. The SO6P created the tailed beasts and brought peace to the ninja world. If Naruto can earn the trust from all the tailed beasts, he will be a master but, i think it will happen after Naruto defeats Tobi.

If Naruto gains all that power, Sasuke will be in big trouble. Unless Kishi surprises us and Sasuke gains a new power of his own.

I don't really think Sasuke will join forces with Naruto ever again.

Naruto will end up being a master ninja of Konoha and Sasuke being the #1 villain in the next series of Naruto.

Wow, what a disappointment. Boring as hell, I can't stand pointless flashbacks, it's just page filler for a lazy artist. And This new jesus-naruto is LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME. "i'm going to stop the hatred!" Screw that crap, I started reading this manga because it was violent and clever with a dark side to it. Now even the bad guys are just misunderstood good guys. For me, it's really been going downhill ever since that damn waterfall turned naruto gay. Everyone is entitled to their opinions of course, but to me they've taken away all of the interesting parts of the "ninja world". I also don't understand how people that started out wanting to be powerful ninjas, now all want to destroy their whole ninja village system for some hippie utopia full of love and peace. So boring.

I really hope kishi comes to his senses and kills off half of the cast, driving naruto into a frothing rage where he finally lets loose and wrecks his enemies instead of holding their hands and crying over their troubles.

this was a good chapter(not worth a 1 or 2) , a 3 or 4 is alright because there was nothing that made me go crazy but then again it was still enjoyable. i like how naruto is showing his intelligence in this chapter(keeping shadow clone in mouth of son and smashing the stake from the inside). ther was only 4 pages so people saying it was mostly filler, get a grip!
would be interesting to see what happens next week i guess. son goku will hopefully be freed and start wrecking the battle field. i want to see tobi use something more than just controlling the bijuu.

I am hoping that the one inside is the real one to avoid exposure and he stayed inside in SM until ensuring the Ape is free.

I loved this chapter, naruto made son vomit! That's wild to see on a battlefield unless your opponent is Orochimaru, lots of talk/memory no jutsu.
Kurama really does have his heart set with naruto in mind, he implied this.
Also Sage mode is badass and I think that is his most powerful mode that bijuus would respect more, because he isn't using the foxes power and he uses techniques of a animals, (the frogsntoads) to beat his opponents.
Bleh i'm rambeling now, I gave it a 4.

What the hell are wrong with you morons? Honestly some of you lot are has dumb as spit. You can't expect every single chapter to be packed with explosive actions.

Kishi has made this chapter a build up to a even greater chapter. I actually extremely enjoyed this chapter has it shows the Kurama (thats the Kyuubi real name right?) is more than warming to Naruto by expressing how Naruto can prove himself like he always does.

Truly though I wish a great deal of you people didn't comment on here with your stupid whiney remarks because it wastes my time going through the pages to see if their any good comments and theories and also the fact that no one wants to see your miserable negative remarks about Kishi great work. If you dislike it then stop following Naruto chapters and keep your childish brattish remarks to yourself.

i dunno why ppl are complaining it was a good chapter making way for things to come
1. i told us that that tailed beast can be freed from tobi control
2. it showed us that naruto can balance kyuubi mode and sage mode so he can be in both modes at once ( ohhhh sasuke is in trouble )
3. it showed us that he will free the 4 tails at the start of the next chapter ( and do u think he is gonnal walk away or have mad beef with tobi??? i know the answer but do u)

i think that now that naruto knows how to free the beast he will do so one by one leaveing tobi in sum serious trouble and having to run for his life or reveal a new powerful jutsu perhabs even lose his mask by taking a massive blow by a tailed beast

Yessssss! Thank you! I did not understand why everyone gave this chapter such a low rating. In my opinion this is one of the most significant chapters that has been released so far. The nine-tails is clearly showing that he believes in Naruto's ability to change other people! I won't necessarily say this is great literature contextually, but compared to the rest of the manga itself this a great chapter. Remember, manga is a READING. It is literature. It's not all about action. Read it because it is good literature, not because you want to see people get killed and explosions. Go watch a Die Hard movie if you're interested in action.
