what i took from this chapter was that when the sage of six paths created the bijuu, they were more of less friends and benevolent? until they got increasingly corrupted by the shinobi, especially madara, and their jinchuuriki.

Son-Goku i think actually translates to monkey look alike.

I dont know the actual translation. As in my post I was just commenting on other referred to names for Son Goku.
Try to let others see that, kishi wasnt necessarily copying DBZ.

Kishi isn't a dragonball Z fan, but rather a fan of ancient Chinese literature, inspired by it, just like Akira Toriyama, who created DBZ. It's no different than being inspired by Shakespear.

Pretty much. lol I would have liked to see Kurama actually help Naruto in this chapter, but I guess I can wait. The chat between Son Goku and Naruto was neat, as well as Guy and Kakashi teaming up.
