Since hearing people comments to why Tobi could be Madara has made me warm up quite a bit to the idea of that

A little ticked off I just wrote crap loads just for the browser to cut off -.-

Anyway I am confused to how Madara knew Nagato, since Madara was around 100 years ago, I don't even think Jiraiya was alive when Madara was. So how could Madara know Nagato?

I am not sure whether Madara died or not. Maybe Madara died when he fought the 1st Hokage or he lived afterwards. Anyway remember Madara thought he was brought back by Nagato rebirth Jutsu? Do you also remember Tobi said Nagato rebirth Jutsu was for him when Nagato died?

I believe Madara and Tobi are now the same person, I believe Tobi is the split version of Madara. I do not know if anyone has noticed this. I had to re-check the manga to just refresh my memory. You only see Madara in this chapter with One Sharingan and when Tobi fought Konan his right eye closed when he used Izanagi, where his Main Sharingan has always been visible on his left side. Even now with the Rinnegan he keeps that left Sharingan. I believe that left Sharingan is Uchiha Madara's. I'm not sure how Madara managed to split himself in to two. Maybe Tobi was created by the help of Zetsu (Explains why his body is made up of Zetsu goo and is able to replace any limb). The split version is not the body etc, it solely the left eye of Uchiha Madara.

I do not believe Madara used Izanagi to save his life, it explains why he died. He used Izanagi to breathe life perhaps into the body Zetsu made and used his left eye to keep himself to live on. That could explain why Tobi has lived on for so long.

I am sorry if none of this makes sense, I already wrote all this out and it annoyed me to write it all again. If you don't understand some parts. Just say so I can explain it better.

To SUM it all up

Tobi is Madara, he has Madara left eye and Madara used Izanagi to keep that part of himself to live on through the Zetsu body, that is why the left eye perhaps didn't close,, Maybe the EMS gave him that ability to do this. It could explain why Tobi can not use EMS because he is not reunited with Madara.

Maybe it why Tobi had to agree to side with Kabuto because while Kabuto had control of Madara, he could never reunite with him.


Madara right eye is only visible

Tobi left eye was only visible (before the rinnegan)

I actually believe Madara and Tobi are the same person

I just don't know how Madara would know who Nagato was.

my theory has the same prospects , tobi = 1/2madara .
i think that madara discovered zetsu when he was a very young child, and madara noticed he had special dna/abilities(zetsu has slow ageing) that could add to madaras plan of immortality(to buy him time to run "moon eye plan"). well , at the hashirama fight , zetsu made a clone of him self to to clone as madara(like with kisame) , so hashirama thought madara died. but madara then wanted to figure out the power of "the sage of six paths" but somewhere on his quest he realised he didnt have enough time considering he was still ageing despite his enhancements using zetsu dna. madara discovered that to unlock rinnegan you will need uzumaki+uchiha ems(?) and then discovered a uzumaki toddler that turned out to be nagato. this is when madara set a plan, he wanted the rinnegan but nagato was still a toddler and hasnt unlocked yet and madara was slowly losing patience. so he used the help of zetsu to manufacture a child-like body , madara used izinagi to split his soul in two , one half was inserted in to the body(known as tobi) , madara told zetsu & tobi the plan to keep an eye on everything and keep the plan going while madara dies right their, then when nagato learns to use the rinnegan tell him to resurrect the half of madaras soul that died to the body of tobi , to become "complete". this is why as soon as madara stepped out of the coffin he said "so that brat nagato finally grew up".

The final argument that the man behind that mask is Izuna Uchiha and the only man able to stop Madara by itachi when he vanish the edo tensei technique, but i'm still confuse about how he knows nagato ,,,and so amusing for muu'afraid of Madara xD awesomely craziest chapter ever.!!!

Tobi is real nagato in my sense... He said that " Thos are my eyes to begin with. " The pain nagato was not present when madara was alive.....Madara knew nagato(tobi) definitely...

Tobi really give pain nagato the rinnegan...But why it is unknown....

blud he was just confirming what impure world resurrection was, nothing more than that, the speech is direct so dont try and read between the lines. if he didnt like th jutsu he would have said himself , this jutsu IS an atrocity , not is KNOWN as.

So 99% it is someone that we know of and not someone that hasn't been mentioned
If its a uchiha then probably
a) madaras brother ( funny fact..some say tobi looks exactly like sasuke and we all know that izuna is sasukes half twin. )
b) kagami uchiha ( mangareader.net/93-55672-7/naruto/chapter-503.html .... for some reason in the picture of the 3rd and senior members, kagami and danzo isnt there. Kagami was also taught by the 2nd hokage who is a master at space-time nin jetsu which might explain tobis technique)
c) madara ( my gut says no because tobi was scared when kabuto opened the coffin so it seems that he is hiding something and anyone else to know
d) Obito ( Dont think its obito but this could be linked. For some reason tobi and kakashi have similar mangekyo sharingan and we have no idea how kakashi got his activated. I think that when tobi maybe stole obitos eye and had it actived, kakashis would activate simultaneously. Still confusing because obito got crushed.
e) shusui ( just a little guess)

Theres probably a 2% chance of tobi not being a uchiha.

Im guessing that MAYBE if madara knew nagato is because he WAS alive at that time until tobi betrayed him ? Maybe the one talking to itachi WAS actually madara but the one fighting the 4th was Tobi. Because haha, you dont really see ninjas going around and cutting their hairs right?xD
