1: tobi claims to only have half his strength.
2: tobi has never been seen using the mangekyou sharingan
3: why tobi claimed that nagato's resurrection jutsu was meant for him and why the dead madara thought that it was nagato who brought him back.
that's my theory.
i would assume kabuto had muu summon madara because muu was closer to the battle field then he was. Also i would have to say that i agree with the tobi really being madara as well. i believe that the resurrected madara and tobi are indeed two halfs of the same soul. maybe his abilities were split between these two halfs as well? tobi having the second dimesion teleporting ability and the dead one having the physical half of madara's abilities and maybe the mangekyou sharingan as well. this would explain why

Simple explaination.People keep assuming Tobi is using Obito's body based on the fact that he uses Space-Time techs. Obito's body was crushed, along with one of his eyes. The other was obviously given to Kakashi. I find it hard to believe Tobi is using Obito's body or using his eyes for Space-Time techs. Not to mention Obito died as a young teenager, if Tobi took over Obito's body after that incident he wouldn't be as tall as he is now.
Also, after using the Rinnegan and sharigan to cast the infinite Tsukiyomi, then using izanagi to make him a god, wouldn't he ultimately lose his sharigan? Hashirama's cells can only afford him to use izangi for 5 minutes, meaning he would lose EMS once that time is up. Great theory!
1.Obito could have simply faked his death with with a genjustsu
2. Infinite Tsukiyomi is capable of controlling time and space. Even if izangi only lasts 5 minutes tops he just made his infinite tsukiyomi reality. He can then control time and space anyways he pleases meaning he can extend the 5 minutes into eternity. Even if the eye becomes lost, he still has the rinnengan and is in control of everything.

A shortened version of the theory i lost after writing it for an hour was that Madara is both of them...
Tobi is madara's memories in Obito's body, he would lose his own techniques as his original body was probably dying (old age?) but he would have Obito's technique Space Time Jutsu and the implanted DNA sample, from Madaras fight with Hashirama at the VotE, this would give him the ability to use Izanagi freely and ultimately Banbutsu Sozo, once he had his rinnegan and his plan was complete.
He made a plan long ago to unite his soon to be dead body ie edo tensei'd madara and EMS, with his new Tobi body, so that he could use EMS, Izanagi, Space Time Jutsu, Banbutsu Sozo and control the Jubi once it had been gathered. Essentially the sage of the six paths reborn plus his own EMS.
However he was meant to be reborn with gedo rinne tensei ,but Nagato uses it on the people of Konoha instead, thats why he talks about Nagato as it was part of his plan, Tobi adapted when the snake shows up, it fits in as he can revive his old body that way ie impure world resurrection. Sasuke was a sacrifice he was willing to make to gain ultimate power.

Alright i usually dont even post my thoughts but i couldnt help noticing teh empty minded fans lmao. First i honestly think the one behind the mask is madara's father...The six paths sage.Because he gave both his kids certain ability's.And we all already know what they are -.-....Anyways The sixs paths was the original ruler over the ninja world then when he "passed it down" per say to his kids shit went crazy.I beileve he stuck around to try and fix shit again hence the fact hes trying to get all the bijuu,eye's,all that shit he had it all to begin with in a way.And as you can see he used madara's eye techniques.Im pretty sure since his father gave them those ability's he'd be able to use them as well...including renningan.And the first is down in "tobi's" hideout...not very many people could take complete control of the first hokage....except his dad.

Dudes, Tobi is the Black and White Zetsu with the possibility of Madara chakara or some kind of skill been sealed in it. It is possible that he has a partial body of someone else.
The reason why I think is the Black and White Zetsu is because when Tobi used Izanagi with his left eye, his left part of his face is black in color.

Tobi is, most likely, is a clone using both Zetsu's powers and the 1 hokage cells. :shrug: When Kisame meets Madara for the first time, apears to be in the original body, like we see now, and it didnt seem to be in great shape. Madara was probably dying so he had to make a clone to live longer. That would explain why Madara ET knows Nagato and why Tobi has all the knowledge about the Uchiha Clan and the SO6P

I think Tobi is working for the real Madara.Madara was expecting to be resurrected via Rinne Tensei but instead he was resurrected with IWR.Remember Tobi had implanted only one Rinnegan on himself and I think he is saving it for the real Madara.

Your argument for it not being Obito is too shallow. Wouldn't Obito hating Konoha for killing his family and his clan? And anything could have happened in the years between his so called death and when Tobi appeared. He could even be the one killing Madara. If you move the letters in Obito u can form Tobi. The resemblance of the face we have seen of Tobi and Obito is very similar. We have only seen one half of his face wich means there might be something hiding at the other side like injuries from the rock.
I am convinced that Tobi is Obito as I always thought before he was revealed as Madara.
But if what you said is true i don't know why Obito didnt come back to Konoha if he survived from the crash sice he is a very good person and he also dosn't have the MS so he can't read The Uchiha secret rock unless you imagine that Obito become somehow strong and killed another Uchiha and he didn't live by the time of hashirama so there's no way he can get his cellules and we've already seen Tobi's other face half in the fight against Konan
