Heh yup a lot of us noticed it was a bit of a stretch. It was implied that the attack was so strong that it would pierce his own body just as easily as anyone else's body. I talked about it a bit above, but without any external forces, like in this case, Naruto wouldn't be able to force the Raikage's arm into his own body like that, but with additional leverage, he could. For instance, he could have held his back with another clone or pressed him up against an earth wall or something to isolate the movement of his arm, but without that extra force to hold his body in place to properly thrust his arm into his body, it doesn't make sense physically to do what he did.

The logical outcome of Naruto redirecting his arm with a rasengan would simply be Raikage getting slightly redirected and his arm moving across his body somewhat, but not impaling himself. Again, it was a stretch on Kishi's part, but an awesome ending to a fight.

Rasengan worked like an hammer, it hammered Raikage's arm into another direction. And in Sage Mode, jutsus become a little bit more powerfull.

And about that question that says that if a Rasengan could do it, why didnt a Rasenshuriken? It's easy. Rasenshuriken is fuuton, it's to cut things, Rasengan it's to compress (?) things, or push or w/e, much like an hammer does.
So a rasenshuriken wouldn't do much, because it wouldn't work to move the Raikage's arm, but to slice it (wich would have failed because of his super OP lightning armor)

5. Sorry, I have to disagree. Naruto can't beat A's speed using SM, so I assumed the 3rd Raikage has the same speed as A (if he was slower than A, then you might be right). You can sense danger better and faster all you like, but if you are slower than the danger, you are toasted. A sharpshooter pointing a gun at you and you know he will pull the trigger within a second, you know you are in danger, but that doesn't make you faster than the bullets does it?

After being stroke with Rasenshuriken, is lightning armor wore off. (First image of the page, you can see it clearly).

You can never satisfy people. When Naruto develops and alternative version of the Rasengan, some people complain that he is getting too powerful... He goes into the familiar Sage Mode, you complain too... He does things on his own you complain that he is arrogant and undermining other shinobi but when he asks for assistance you bash him for being weak... Sometimes i wonder if at all you are ever satisfied... Just enjoy the manga rather than complain each and every week... I enjoy each manga and always look forward to Wednesdays when it falls...

Oky I just started reading peoples opinion of the manga and its funny how many people blame naruto for using his oppents attacking against him and if u think about it the smartest way to defeat someone who is stronger than you is use there own force against them and all you saskue lovers saskue has defeated one person by himself lets look orchimaru sick and then itachi sucked him up 2 deidra destoryed himself 3 itachi we all know how that went 4 bee dediced not to fight so all this naruto hate is funny lol

It you read ch.555 pg. 8 it clearly states that the real Naruto was fighting Muu and The 3rd Raikage.

I honestly do not see why the same people criticize anything about Naruto, even other characters in Naruto they just seem to want to complain about anything negative that they can think of. If they truly wish just to be negative about each chapter or what happens then stop reading the damn Manga. I've seen people having a b**ch fit over the way Naruto defeated the 3rd Raikage, I found it amusing that he used the 3rd Raikage most strongest Jutsu against himself. Usually I just tend to skip pass the petty comments people make but it just gets tiring to see the same usual trolls going on & on about what a certain character has done which isn't up to their standards blah blah. true that... funny how other want to fight with Sasuke and Madara so fast yet they complain that the kages are falling down faster than they hope... i know we people can be impatient and want to know what will be next week but for once let us enjoy the manga, discuss it rather than focus on what coming next week... if anything come out and make predictions rather than complain week in week out on how "bad" the manga is turning out to be, or how much Kishi is losing the plot...

Shikamaru would not have the strength to hold the 3rd Raikage with his Shadow Possession Jutsu, Nor do I think at all he would be able to use that Jutsu to force the 3rd Raikage to pierce himself. It takes too much of his chakra quickly which Shikamaru doesn't have a great deal of.

Also I just thought of something all the people wondering why that the rakiege attack had to be used to kill him lets go back to the saskue and the 4th rakige fight saskue was able to break through the shield with chidori which is lightening so naruto had to defelct the rakige jutsu

It will be interesting the see the fight between Kazekage and Mizukage. Tsuchikage is there too, so it will be current Kazekage+Tsuchikage vs 2nd Mizukage. Out of all the CURRENT kages, i feel the 5th Mizukage is being the most neglected, i dont even know what she is up to. Kakashi vs the seven swordsmen of mist is on a limbo..... Very interesting fight next week still. I wonder if Naruto can combine sage mode + kyubi chakra mode. If so,..................(mind blown!)
