Kakashi: Gai! You can't mean --- you're going to open the Eight Gate?!
Rock Lee: Sensei! You cannot do that! If you proceed, than you will die!
Gai: Don't you all think I know that? But what other way is there to stop that rampaging monster ahead of us? My springtime of youth has simmered down, delving into a desolate winter! If I were to die know, trying to help the Shinobi Alliance at least in some way, I could die a happy man. Heh, besides, I couldn't even beat my rival, not once.
Kakashi: Gai, don't ---

A massive explosion occurs as Gai rockets off to face the evil Madara once again. Dust and pebbles skitter across the ground causing Kakashi and Lee to cough, eyes watering presumably from the cloudy haze in front of their eyes.
Madara: Come to fall again? In my time, when a little boy fell, he learned to stop doing whatever it was that put him on his ass.
Gai: That's the difference between us; in my beautiful springtime, those who fell learned to pick themselves up and try again at whatever it was that hurt them. Guess that goes to show the cowardliness of you old geezers, eh?
Madara: Hmph. Your empty insults don't demean me. I'm above getting flustered off of meaningless comments such as that.
Gai: Okay, well let me try another one; Uchiha Madara, you are the scum of this planet, trying to impose your dream upon others in such a despicable way that it must be meant with equal force! In saying that, I believe it's time we get right to business, and I show you that your not the only one with a beast inside of them!!!

Gai: It's time to let my youth explode! Eighth Gate of Death . . . OPEN!!! [Chakra Begins Swirling Around]
Madara: I won't let you! [Combines All Black Spheres into one] [Fires it]
Kakashi: [Sharingan] That much chakra . . . it'll kill us all!
Minato: Damn! I can't warp it either.
Rock Lee: Gai-Sensei, run!!!
A massive sphere of destruction gradually inhibits the surrounding area, eating every single item of matter it comes into contact with. Kakashi and Co. can only look on as their impending doom inches closer. Suddenly, a figure lands before all of them, and a giant fan opens up, shielding them from harm.
Rock Lee: Tenten!
Tenten: [Determined] Are you all okay?! '
Kakashi: [Coughing] Yes, we're fine, thank you.
Minato: You came at the right time. Is that the one of the Sage's Treasured Tools? How'd you get it?
Tenten: I've been had it. Since way back when the "Silver and Gold" brothers where resurrected. I learned that it was able to absorb any of the five elements of chakra.
Kakashi: Then that doesn't explain how we were protected. Madara utilizes Onmyoudou which isn't any of the chakra types.
Tenten: I didn't say I absorbed Madara's attack, did I.
Kakashi, Minato, and Lee: !!!!
Back at the Battlefield
As the smoke clears, a giant hole is left in the Earth. The planets core can barely be seen, but lava and magma spout out of the ditch. A red haze fills the air, bathing everyone in a red light.
Madara: He's gone now. That annoying bug won't be a bother anymore. ?!?!?!?!?! [Blood Flies Out of Mouth] [Looks Down] [Giant Arm Through His Stomach]
???: [Hulking Figure] Heh, heh. Well, lookie-lookie. I finally managed to wound you.
Meanwhile . . .
Kakashi: I'm not understanding here. If it wasn't Madara's attack causing that explosion and damage, then what did?
Tenten: [Back Turned] It was Gai-Sensei using the Eighth Gate. His chakra released expelled Madara's attack completely. The scar in the Earth you see now is due to his transformation.
Minato: W--- what?!!
Rock Lee: Unbelievable . . . Gai-sama.
Kakashi: Has this been you the entire time?! Have you had this power since back when we were just children?!

Gai: Kakashi, I challenge you.
Kakashi: [Walking away] Whatever, I have a mission to do.
