This is my first manga prediction. It isn't well written or within the manga form and may be too short yet I hope it comes across as "realistic" or entertaining at the very least. Naruto Manga 563 Prediction
“The Final Mask”
The scene is set within Obito’s conscious.
Obito: You are still young and naïve. You remind me of myself. The child I had once been. And look what I turned out to become. And so will-
Naruto: IDIOT! As long as I have the Leaf *flashbacks of the village and panels show young Naruto along with the other children of the Leaf*- as long as I have my friend, I can never give up! That’s my ninja way! If I have to burden all of this world’s pain and suffering I will because that’s what Hokages do!
Obito: *flashback to when he was younger. To the times he said he would become Hokage. He remembers being beaten, shouting out that he’d become Hokage one day and everyone would see, and working harder. To become acknowledged. He remembers Rin.*
Naruto: I know what happened…I’m sor-
Obito: WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU’RE SORRY?! YOU LEAF DID THIS! WHERE WAS MINATO SENSEI WHEN WE NEEDED HIM?! WHERE WAS KAKASHI WHEN RIN NEEDED HIM?! HUH?! WHERE WAS EVERYBODY?!...As long as we live in this cursed world, nothing will ever change. The cycle of hatred continues and monsters like me are born.
Naruto: You’re not a monster. I can never forgive you for the lives you’ve taken but I know your pain. I know your sacrifice. You did this…all for Rin, right? Because she’s your friend. Rin was a Shinobi of the Leaf. She died for the village.
Obito: *shocked expression*…*Obito composes himself within this panel* Friends come and go. Your sensei was my friend. And look at what he’s done. He’s trash. Just like the rest of this world.
Naruto: The world isn’t trash. There’s so much to live for. Would you still believe the world was trash if Rin were here?
Obito: …
Naruto: You wanted to become Hokage. You had a dream. You told Rin. You told the village. You wanted them all to acknowledge you. You wanted to belong…just like me.
Obito: Your talk makes no difference to me. It’s too late for any of them. I’ll break this curse. You will not understand me now…but I promise you, if you cease to resist I will send you to a place that never ends. Noone will die. Noone will kill. You will be Hokage. True peace will reign.
Naruto: We can’t hide in fake worlds. No more masks.
Obito: Fine. Then I will finish this. *Obito suddenly appears before Naruto. His black sword appears.*
SFX: CHKKKK *blood splattered.*
Naruto: *smiling with a stream of blood running down his lip*
*Obito is now within the village and sees everyone. Guy, Kakashi, Asuma, Kurenai, Tsunade, Minato, Jiraiya, Orochimaru, the Third Hokage, the Uchiha, and others as he sees himself within the middle as Hokage…he reaches for himself yet his mirror image fades away and Naruto is within his place.
The scene is set back to the pierced Naruto…who looks more and more like the young Obito. “Those who break the rules are trash, but those who abandon their comrades are worse than trash! If I'm going to be called trash either way, I'd rather break the rules! And if that somehow makes me anything less than a real shinobi, then I'll crush all of the so-called "real" shinobi!”
*The scene fades away as Obito sees himself as Hokage leaving flowers at Rin’s memorial as a young Naruto who has recently become a ninja runs up and shouts “Oiiii Senseiiiiii!”* A tear is shed…
*Back at the battleground*
Obito: *sees Naruto with a proud smile and the ninja army in slow motion* [I see why Nagato choose to believe in you…Naruto…I may never be able to redeem myself for the mistakes I’ve made. It’s too late for my redemption. *pictures Rin* I’ll be with you soon...Rin…wait for me. “Uzumaki Naruto…you will become my mask. We’ll put an end to this…and crush this “so-called” shinobi…”
Naruto is seen running toward Obito with the ninja army beside him.
Obito: HAAAAAA! LET’S FINISH THIS! THIS CURSE WILL END! *flashbacks of the village and everyone and finally one of Rin and Obito holding hands*
Obito wispers: …Thank you…Naruto. *Obito smiles…a genuine smile…and Naruto smiles back*
*Obito is hit by massive senjutsu techniques and the scene is covered with mist*
*Madara’s eyes are seen from within the mist and the last panel shows Madara’s “evil face”* “HAHAHAHAHA It’s time. IT ENDS TONIGHT!
