I think it's obvious that Danzo is not Madara ....I think Pein would have remembered who betrayed him and would have recognized his chakra.... I can't see Pein with all his power being unable to recognize an enemy

What needs answering is .. when did danzo get the eye?

remember that Madara insists he wasn't behind the attack on the village. Why would he lie about it? Why would he need to lie about it? I can't think of any reason for him to lie.

Yes, itachi said he was, and many speculated that it was madara, but let us consider who else was always trying to take control....

Danzo competed with the 3rd for the title of hokage and lost to him. To add insult to injury, the 3rd named Minato as his replacement and not Danzo.

Danzo even tried to team up with orochimaru to destroy the village so he could sieze control...

What if.. it was really Danzo who was behind the attack on the village?

Danzo already knew Madara when he ordered the uchia clan's destruction several years later. This begs the question... when did Danzo and Madara first meet?

People assume the comment the 9-tails made to Sasuke was in reference to the attack on the village and therefore it must have been Madara who unleased it. BUT keep in mind the 9-tails would have met Madara from waaaay back when Madara and the 1st Hokage fought so this means the 9-tail could simply be remembering him from THAT fight.

What if Madara is telling the truth. What if it was really Danzo who set the 9-tails to attack the village?

I think Danzo is a lot sneakier than anyone realizes and that he may be working with Madara even now. Well, they are both sneaky and ambitious and they both had the same target in mind. I don't think it is too far fetched to see Danzo as the ultimate villain of the series.

Hi Everyone! Forgive me if someone has already mentioned this I'm new to this whole thing. But anyway what if Madara and Danzou have a pact and that is why he possess the sharingan. Just something I've thought about for awhile now. I think that Madara needed a tool to help manipulate Konoha to help him accomplish some of his goals like the attack of Kyubi and the massacre of the Uchiha Clan.

I understand what you are saying but remember even the fourth said that it was Madara.
and we all know how string he was and he couldnt even land a hit on the person who attacked the village.
and i doubt that it was Danzo

well i beleve there is more bitween madara and donzo.i guess madara gave his one eye to danzo and promised to help madara regain power of konoko.else there is no good reason y madara should hide his one eye.

danzo cud not me obito bcuz obitos other eye is kakashis sharingan obito is tobi w/ has the other eye if danzo is obito then obito will have 3 eyes:kakashi:

Danzou's sharingan > he was the one that ordered to kill the Uchiha clan, so i clearly think he got it from there. Danzou fought with the third for who is gonna be the hokage, and that is before the Uchiha clan was killed. Now he gotta be stronger with that sharingan.

Naruto, Kakashi, Yamato > They gonna fight the ROOT-ninja's that Danzou send to watch over Naruto. And i don't think they will think Sai betrayed them cause Sai is on his way to tell Danzou about Madara.

Sasuke and his team > On his way they will cross with the ninja's that came for the 8-tails and to know more info about Sasuke. And they will fight sasuke and his team.

Obito/Madara > He was going on to the 'Eye of the Moon' plan. We will soon know what that plan is.

Torune; "Since old days, it seems. They'd always jump on an opportunity like this. Seems like there's going to be lots of more bothersome things."
Danzou: "There was pride in being anonymous in the world of Shugen. However, by having a monopoly on both sides would allow stability in [this country and village/these countries and villages]. If the summit goes well, I'll be recognized as Hokage. The jounin will also see that I am to be Hokage. My era has finally come."

Sasuke's turn
They're leaping from tree to tree, heading for the summit site.
Karin: "!! Wait, there's something up ahead!"
Sasuke: "?!"

Naruto's turn
He's facing Konohamaru in a forest.
Root ANBU are watching them from the shadows
ANBU: (What the... what's going on?)
ANBU: (No idea, what are those two planning?)
Konohamaru: "Oiroke no Jutsu!!"

Kakashi uses his Sharingan to put a genjutsu on the two ANBU

Kakashi: (However, it looks like Root doesn't have much faith in Sai.)

Omoi, Karui & Samui are leaping from tree to tree, heading back to the Raikage

The real Yamato has his eyes closed. Maybe's radioing.

Looks like the summit will take place in the Iron Country
Looks like it's a snowy place.
There's a panel of snow falling.

Tsuchi: "It's a country founded by a trio called "The Three Wolves"(San-Ookami). It's a neutral country which retains a peculiar culture, a peculiar jurisdiction and strong war power. Since old times, it has never been involved in wars of shinobi. That's why it was decided on that the summit would be held there. The Iron Country isn't guarded by shinobi, it's guarded by people who call themselves "Samurai."

Sasuke
They're in the snowing Iron Country
Sasuke: "Well?"
Water-transformed Suigetsu: "Looks like they're bolstering the guard around the Five Kage Summit"
Sasuke: "Juugo, use an animal and lead us to the summit through their lesserly guarded areas."
Juugo: "Got it."

Kazekage's turn
Mifune: "We've been waiting for you, Kazekage-sama. I am a general of the Iron Country, call me Mifune."
Gaara: "Pleased to meet you. I am the Kazekage, Gaara."
Kankurou: "Brrr... This is nothing like the climate of the Wind Country."
Mifune: "If you would follow me, I'd serve you hot tea."

It looks like Naruto & co. have reached the Iron Country too.
They're leaping from tree to tree, in the snow.
Naruto sneezes
Naruto: "Urgh, it suddenly got real cold."
Yamato: "Ssssssshhhh! We're in pursuit, so ssssssssshhhh!"
One by one, they gather at the site of the summit!!
