I dont think that konoha will be ruined, cuz after that blast everyone will die, I mean all the main charecters exept naruto. Sakura has to grow up(maybe that means falling for naruto) and dont forget that Genma has to show us something huge. So I think there will be a blast, but someone will make some kind of shield to protect konoha. Otherwise there wont be anything to write about for kishi, and we know its far from the end yet...

Naruto's Return
If Naruto returns when pain is still there and they fight he will have an advantage b/c Pain has already used up alot of chakra ... not sure how much he has but he has taken damage as well. I think Sauske will also have a role soon possibly fighting Danzo as somone has already suggested. Also everyone is saying Konoha was completely destroyed, but from the look of the picture I can see houses and stuff around the crater that seem fine. Konoha is much bigger then the blast and also the Hokage faces seem to have survived unscalthed.
Usually when something happens to a Hokage you also see something happen to one of the faces on the mountain and I didnt see anything wrong or off with Tsunades. Which leaves me to believe she is still ok.
Its hard to believe that Naruto will be able to defeat pain but as its been said before power isnt everything. Also we dont know what Naruto has learned besides what it has shown us in the manga... he could know more or think of things at the spur of the moment. Also the fox could intervene ... lots of things could happen that no one except Kishi already knows so Naruto beating Pain is deffinatly a possiblity.
Also Madra may sit this one out b/c it doesnt seem like he's controlled by Pain at all... it seems more like he's a partner of Pain and helps or doesnt help .. does whatever he pleases. He obviously has his own agenda which is what the manga may be about after Pain is defeated by Naruto.

I dont know why so many people would stop reading Naruto simply because some characters have died. I know its sad. But, just so you know, I'm not a fan of happy endings. The chapter, imo, seems epic just the way it is.

i think he can kishi has put to much emphasis on naruto learning SM and then not having to use the frogs and finding another way. so yes i believe he can win kishi would not have waste time and making naruto's return epic for him not to beat deva pain. so i strongly believe naruto will win first jiriaya getting killed and know the village laid to waste. he has no other choice we are going to see a hell of a fight. and who said naruto will call on the kyuubi, the kyuubi will give naruto his power by force so he will not have to die with naruto.

Yeah thats true. The main question is on which side he will fight? He read about bonds and made sort of friends with naruto and sakura, but he is from anbu and I think he follows danzo's orders. Man can wait to see it...

i think people need to get over it naruto has no feelings for hinata and he still likes sakura the way she is. he does not have time to think about love right know he has to beat pain. and nobody is a ***** in the manga they are all virgins. hinata is just boring for most people and unimportant to the plot. naruto has not time to fall for hinata because he has to many problems. he even has no time for sakura there are to many things going on. to many good things happening in the manga to be thinking about love happening in it right know imo.
I share you're point hve view but hiven if he wins pain will still be alive don't forget that the pain's in konoha are just dead boodies ,puppets if you prefer so he will still be alive.
My prediction is :
Naruto kills all the pain's but the real one (and that one will get really pissed) or he beats most hav them and the surviver's flee, or he just doesn't find pain because he went for a rest and then goes to myubyaku to find him but wen he prepars to depart naruto geets to the rain village and they fight.
I'm just excited to see we're getting close to the Naruto v.s. Pein fight. It's gonna be kickass. All those years of training with J-man will surface and it will be one hell of a fight. The first real fight Naruto will have in Shippuden.
