Quite similar statements... I see that Kishi was playing with our mind into thinking that it was kakashi who said that, but.. it was actually obito!

In all honesty, it doesn't take a ****ing genius to do this. Kishi probably read trough the kakashi gaiden before he started this arc and said "oh, it would be cool if i brought it around full circle". Not a lot of people noticed, but it's something that should be expected from a professional.

I don't think Kishi was thinking that Obito was saying that when he first wrote that, but that was an excellent observation on the connection between both statements. I like how he reuses statements like that. It creates a literal connection through different dialogues in the manga that deal with the same topic, sometimes between the same characters.
