What is this I am seeing on various threads about the movie? Did Naruto really like Sakura just because he wanted to make Sasuke jealous by being a better womanizer?

Seems like a decent explanation to me. It does seem that way in the manga.

If that were really the case then he should have been aiming to get an even bigger group of fangirls than sasuke cause that would be the way to "beat" him.
