Naruto lack of intelligence is hindering his potential

I find it crazy that Naruto (Having SM, ALL elements and Kurama w/ other bijuu) is now older and still wasting his effort at becoming a more diverse and powerful jutsu user including utility jutsu.

We have 1 hand Sasuke who is now on the path of mastering time and space control and travelling.

Yet,

Naruto is still stuck with 0 utility abilities. Outside of battle what does naruto have other than part 1 shadow clones that can make him a better shinobi?


It's truly disappointing seeing Naruto fall behind on the jutsu advancement.

The ONLY chance of redemption I will give him is maybe he uses shadow clones to train in private but based on how this series is going i seriously doubt he does that.

I would agree with this but Sasuke is still developing. Maybe the writers are finally going to use Sasuke as there main selling point.

& in the manga, mud wall might not be that exciting but it’s still something new coming from Naruto. & that was just a spar with his son.

& Sasukes new abilities of space time isn’t even for combat

As others have stated, this story isn't about him anymore. Both Naruto and Sasuke should possess more abilities than they've displayed so far. Maybe we'll as the manga progress but they're not the MC anymore so doubt they'll get much development beyond the original series.

As the guy pointed out above NAruto did in fact use Mud Wall which although not the strongest jutsu it shows that he is using other elements. I also forgot that now that Naruto is Kage he should have access to the scrolls the other kages studied.

No one is saying Naruto is weak lol. Im simply stating you would think him and kurama being perfect jin partners for 10+ years would allow him to push his jutsu to another level in terms of both utility usage AND combat.

When I say utility im referring to abilities that can be used outside of combat (Shadow clone, Sasuke Portals, Sakura's healing) etc.

OP, both Naruto and Sasuke should have a whole lot more jutsu. They have should very little improvement. Most of Naruto's improvement revolves around his speed and taijutsu, while Sasuke's is his S/T.

The problem is they are too powerful for the manga now.

The same Kurama that held Naruto back by making it harder for him to use chakra, yet he was still able to learn difficult and power jutsu like the rasengan. If, Naruto never had anything and relied on Kurama he shouldn't have been able to learn justu like sage mode or rasengan. Nobody else in the manga had to deal with that. Naruto was never at 100% most of the manga. The manga made it clear Kurama hurt Naruto more than helped him.

What could he possibly need to add to his arsenal that he already couldn't do? He's already the best sensor, can heal himself and others, can give protection with the kyuubi cloaks, wtf can't he do?

That same Kurama, gave him healing power immense amount of chakra and helped him through the battle every time (he could even make 1000 clones even before the academy) Naruto never had any talent as a ninja and im not talking about chakra control but over all
