Naruto's statement of how they're similar really got me thinking about that, and they are... Almost to the dot.

Both were hated by everyone.

Both acted out to at least get some sort of attention.

Both became "good" when someone acknowledged them.

Both know what pain is.

Both are brash.

It's almost uncanny.
