Naruto & Kingdom Hearts Similarities?

Hey everyone I was just catching up on my manga here and I realized something, Kingdom Hearts & Naruto have a lot of similarities... Has anyone else noticed?

Naruto - Sora
Sasuke - Riku
Sakura - Kairi

Reasons?

Sora & naruto both lost their friends to "evil/darkness" and went on a quest to find them

Riku / Sasuke left light for power

Kairi / Sakura just because of the relationships shared between the 3.

Also the organization / akatsuki thing is a big one for me


EDIT:: I just realized something ! The birth by sleep characters ventus aqua and terra could be reference to tsunade jiraiya and orochimaru... Oro was evil.. Terra's darkness took him over. Jiraiya died and left his will to naruto (ventus leaving his heart with sora ish ) and tsunade is the only sannin still alive and healthy much like aqua..... MAN IM GOOD

Kingdom hearts 3D had all the organization members brought back from the dead much like the akatsuki members that Kabuto brought back. IS anyone else seeing how similar this is? The whole taking down the akatsuki / organization XIII etc?

I guess there is a similarity, but the fact that Square Enix would take ideas from Naruto is pretty far fetched :shrug:

I kinda realized it before ;P despite the obvious flaws they ARE pretty similar I guess. Although the whole "2 man 1 girl" main character theme seems to extend to several other things too, and usually one of them goes astray.

Have you read the Kingdom Hearts manga? Might find something useful there ;P If it's about copying another's ideas than I HIGHLY doubt that's the case

They are called Archetypes, every anime/manga/square enix/any other hame have them. Even the bible has characters that match these descriptions, authors dont ven put them him on purpose sometimes, they are subconcious figures meant to embody human emotions, because we, as humans, can relate to these characters in different ways, we tend to portray them in our stories, so that we can materialize them and it is easy to understand wht they represent.

Ye, i was thinking the same thing, Sora and Riku share the same bond as Naruto and Sasuke. Also Riku was manipulated by Ansem like Sasuke was manipulated by Tobi.

I noticed this too, also the fact that both naruto/sora are pretty goofy and their friend riku/sasuke is more if a cool kid

The only thing Riku and Sasuke share are that they switched sides. Riku didn't switch due to power, he switched because he sought to seek other worlds and opened his heart to darkness thus was manipulated by both Ansem and Maleficient into using the power of darkness. Riku was also jealous of Sora's new friends in Goofy and Donald and thought Sora didn't care about him, which also influenced his joining Maleficent and the side of darkness.

Riku also never hated Sora as Sasuke does Naruto. Sasuke switched sides due to his own selfishness and desire for power. That's not the case with Riku.

Also why did you mention that last part about KH3D? The game hasn't even come out yet in NA, so you're spoiling it for the people who never watched the walkthrouh or player the japanese version.

Debatable? He keeps saying he wants to kill everyone in Konoha, starting with Naruto and you're still not sure if he hates him?

On topic, no matter what anyone says, I agree with the similarities completely. Of course there are some differences as well but they can't copy eachother 100% or it'd be too predictable.

@Dantee why don't you think so? Another thing to add would be the nine tailed fox could be the "keyblade" this is quite true because there were several other keyblade masters out there too which could be the other jinchuriki.

@ninpou yeahh I agree completely! Riku was posessed by the darkness if you ask me because he did fight sora on numerous occasions + he was acting on his own against sora when he kidnapped pinocchio

@vegeta that's why I put a spoiler alert + it's almost common knowledge to those people who have looked at trailers since the gameplay shows revived villains. Sorry for spoiling for you if I did though.

Maybe its foreshadowing that Naruto and Sasuke will team up like Riku and Sora did at the end of KH2 to take down Tobi
