He doesn't actually need to be smart. You've seen Kurama acting like a captain against the juubi, Naruto won't have to take any hard decisions as long as he has Kurama.

He might not be Shikamaru level genius, but why does everyone call him stupid. He's able to make some pretty decent decisions on his own now, the only time he's even in trouble is when it comes to his one best friend. He doesnt have to be a conplete genius, just not an idiot and I think he's basically proved that much.

Naruto is smart when he is serious, he just gets serious slowly. Besides, he has learnt to rely on others. He would be the hokage, flanked by Shikamaru.

Shikamaru can't become hokage, he didn't even become a joinin due to his laziness, naruto as hokage seems fine, he's only a kid, I bet he matures as he grows

Yes, of course Naruto will not be the Hokage since he will be the next Sage of the realm. Also the Hokages era will end since Naruto is going to be the strongest and there is no point in being enemy with the strongest that can destroy everything if he wants too. It's pure common sense and logic since this is the Show Called Naruto.

He's still 17 or 16 you know.No one can become a hokage at that age,especially considering his intellect there's no way.Shikamaru would be a better choice U_U

I know Gaara isn't a Hokage but still a Kage at a young age^^

In battle yeah,he surpassed most of the kages after his battle with pain.But he has zero sense in general understanding of things and leadership.

Go back and look at who Gaara learns everything he does about leading from. Everything that has happened between the nations/villages are due to Naruto, maybe not directly but indirectly still. It was his abilities that allowed peace to come about. So why do you say he cant be a leader?

Naruto as Kage just seems wrong. It ll have to happen its his show, he's truly strong and great motivator but he'd be a poor Kage too many emotion fuelled choices rus off enraged into battle seen many times he becomes enraged and can't control and it. Takes Yamato or kakashi to bring him down.

Kakashi shoud be Kage after tsunade ( two months ago would ve said shikaku)
Shikamaru my first choice for Kage after kakashi, not the strongest but can make the hard decisions and given the strong ninja that would at his disposal the village would be at its safest.

I'm telling you what. In this show we will see Naruto being the greatest leader of them all.
