Prologue
As the Fourth Shinobi World War came to a close, Naruto Uzumaki and the Allied Shinobi Forces emerged victorious. Rival Villages became friends, and the toughest foe in history was defeated. War hero Naruto Uzumaki, the second shinobi ever to take on the Juubi, had become its second Jinchuriki. Naruto split the Juubi back into nine Tailed Beasts, wanting to bring back the beast’s personalities rather than an emotionless hulk. He redistributed the beasts, sending them to the Jinchuriki training space located in the Waterfall of Truth. There, the Villages could summon the beasts whenever necessary. The Tailed Beasts lie in wait, hoping to find a suitable partner.
Once the Hidden Villages settled back down, the Leaf started to rebuild itself. Positions needed to be filled, registration of new ninja, and continuiation of the building of homes and shops that had been destroyed by Pain’s attack. Naruto was given the opportunity to complete his dream of becoming Hokage, on the terms on his deeds and power. Naruto turned the offer down (surprisingly), stating, “I have grown a lot during the war, but I still need to become stronger and mature. I cannot serve the Leaf with my little known knowledge of the system.” Naruto was but a genin at the time, and stated, “I will not become Hokage until I take on students of my own, much like my Father and Master Jiraiya.”
As soon as the Villages recovered from the War, the Chuunin Exams began to take place once more. Naruto, after passing the first exam using various cheating devices and his shadow clones, had passed the survival exam with flying colors. Naruto won the final exams, officially becoming a chuunin by the will of the Kage. Soon after his chuunin rank promotion, Lady Tsunade promoted Naruto to Jounin; his comrade’s already being Jounin or higher after the war.
Naruto and Hinata are currently dating, and both are happy with where they are at. (For the sake of pairings, here are the rest) Naruto and Hinata enjoy going on group dates with Shikamaru and Temari, and Sai and Ino. Since Neji’s death, TenTen has had trouble trying to find someone else in her life that could fit the void. Sakura has been getting along pretty well, but is still depressed from Sasuke’s death during the war.
Before Naruto took on his own team, he decided to learn up on jutsu he could use. Due to his wind chakra nature, he had trouble finding a legitimate. Temari was willing to teach Naruto, and so was Naruto’s former Sage Master, Fukasaku. Not to mention, Kurama, being a natural born user of both Wind and Fire styles, is able to teach Naruto as well. Naruto picked up jutsu such as The Blade of Wind, Blade of Wind Hurricane, Nine-Tail Fox Twister (which he learned from Kurama), and Powerful Wind Wave. Kurama states that Naruto also has a Fire Release affinity due to his jinchuriki status, and can progress in learning Fire Style Jutsu. Unfortunately, the masters of the Fire Style, or the Uchiha, have been gone since the massacre, and none remain. Naruto is very lucky to know many others that are very talented in Fire Release and his old friend Konohamaru comes to his aid. Konohamaru, being from the Sarutobi clan, has Naruto learn from his parents, and other family members. Naruto picks up jutsu such as the famous FireBall Jutsu, Flame Bullet Jutsu, and Phoenix Flower jutsu. With his mastery of a second nature, Naruto manages to incorporate Fire Style into his Rasengan, giving him a jutsu known as the Great Flame Rasengan. Naruto’s ability to pick up new jutsu is astounding over the two year span after the war, due to his ability to train with shadow clones.
As soon as Naruto masters his new jutsu, a new pack of academy students are ready to graduate. Tsunade assigns him as Team Seven’s new leader, upon request. And his journey as a Jounin begins…
