Naruto and friends discuss the last battle. The rest of the people are peppering Naruto with questions on how Patsuta learned so many new moves.
Naruto (matter-of-factly): Unlike me at his age, Patsuta catches on to jutsu pretty fast. He kind of reminds me of Sasuke with all his different ninjutsu.
Kakashi: Still, the amount of ninjutsu is amazing. Not to mention, he has Wind and Water styles.
Naruto: He doesn’t have a clan, or any family members of great importance. I’m wondering where he got to be so good. Other than the training Yamato and I did with him…
Iruka: Even when he was at the academy, the other students could barely keep up with him. Except for one; his best friend: Fukutsu.
Naruto: That would explain a lot, since Fukutsu and Patsuta train together all the time.
Kakashi: It would.
Iruka: If those two don’t become chuunin, I would be shocked.
Naruto: Me too. They’ve been training hard for that achievement.
Kakashi: So Hinata, how are missions going?
Hinata: Th-their pretty good, nothing to complain about.
Kakashi (smiling under his mask): Good.
During the talking, another Hidden Rock shinobi by the name of Maguma is facing a Hidden Mist.
Sai: That Maguma kid is about to win this fight.
Ino: Seems like it.
Darui (off in the distance): The winner is: Maguma of the Hidden Rock.
Sai: Not surprising.
The crowd cheers for the winner of the battle. Two more genin enter the arena. Darui appears on the screen with the announcement of their names.
Darui: The next battle is between Fukutsu Shimura of the Leaf and Arekuruu Kawa of the Valley.
Leaf spectators: Let’s go Fukutsu!
Fukutsu (confidently): I will make my village proud and defeat my best friend. You are only a foot step.
Arekuruu: You're underestimating me. Your mistake.
Darui: Begin!
Song: Shippuden
Fukutsu and Arekuruu run towards each other at full speed. Fukutsu throws a punch with his left hand and Arekuruu deflects it with his right arm while delivering a kick. Fukutsu crosses both his arms, only to receive the kick to his stomach. He skids back a couple yards and whips out four kunai. Arekuruu recovers from his attack and runs towards Fukutsu. Fukutsu throws his weapons at Arekuruu and weaves some hand signs. Arekuruu deflects the kunai only to be hit by Fukutsu’s Earth Style: Flowing Wave. Arekuruu is flung back a great distance and stands up.
Arekuruu (mumbling): Great move, now it’s my turn.
Arekuruu sprints towards Fukutsu with a kunai drawn. Fukutsu draws his and meets Arekuruu in the middle of the battlefield. While running, Fukutsu throws a couple shuriken to divert Arekuruu’s attention. Arekuruu dodges these and the two clash, exchanging cuts. Arekuruu blocks an attack while weaving a couple hand signs.
Arekuruu: Water Style: River Torrent!
A river sized amount of water flows rapidly towards Fukutsu, giving him little time to react. Fukutsu jumps into the air, only to be hit with a shuriken in the thigh. Pulling the shuriken out, Fukutsu throws two kunai attached to paper bombs. Arekuruu dodges the initial attack, only to be hit by the blast. Arekuruu is pushed back, and the two stand across from each other.
Song:
Fukutsu: You are not what I expected from a Valley shinobi. The last time I met some in battle, we completely destroyed them.
Arekuruu: How could you make fun of us like that! Just because we are from a smaller village, does not mean we’re weak!
Fukutsu (taunting): Or does it?
Arekuruu: Damn you!
Arekuruu weaves some hand signs.
Arekuruu (angrily): River Style: Raging Rivers!
Three rivers are sent raging towards Fukutsu from different angles. Fukutsu tries erecting a mud wall, but is hit by the other two rivers. Fukutsu is seen lying down, almost as if he’s knocked out.
Arekuruu (smirking): Hmph. Serves you right for mocking the Valley.
Naruto and friends all look surprised to see Fukutsu down so fast.
Naruto (shocked): Is that it!
Iruka: I thought he had more in him.
To everyone's amazement, Fukutsu’s body crumples into a pile of rocks. The real Fukutsu explodes out of the ground and uppercuts Arekuruu into the air.
Crowd: WOW!
Fukutsu: Earth Style: Mud Wall!
Three barriers of mud surround the falling Arekuruu with Fukutsu at the top of it.
Fukutsu: I believe it’s over.
Arekuruu: I still have one trick up my sleeve.
Fukutsu (pointing): Look around you.
Arekuruu notices that not only is he surrounded by earth walls, but they are also covered in paper bombs.
Fukutsu: I would just give up by now.
Fukutsu and Arekuruu are covered in bruises and cuts, while Fukutsu is moderately bleeding from his left thigh where the shuriken hit him. His sides are extremely bruised compared to the rest of his body, from the water hitting him so hard.
Arekuruu: Ok, I submit, you win.
Darui: The winner is Fukutsu Shimura from the Leaf.
The mud walls crumble, while Fukutsu jumps down. He walks over to Arekuruu with his arm outstretched.
Fukutsu (calmly): You fought well, I’m glad to have faced you.
Arekuruu (turning his head): Hmph!
Fukutsu (nicely): I only taunted you to make our battle more interesting. I wanted to test myself to get a measure of how far I could go. Thank you. I didn’t mean any disrespect to your village.
Arekuruu: You’re welcome. I appreciate the apology.
The two smile at each other and shake hands, while the crowd cheers behind them. The two genin walk back to the waiting area together. Fukutsu put’s his hands behind his head, much like Naruto does. The two talk about the battle.
Fukutsu: That was a powerful water type jutsu. What was it called again?
Arekuruu: River Style. It’s been recently discovered among members of the Kawa clan.
Fukutsu: The Kawa clan?
Arekuruu: They’ve been a clan that has lived in the Hidden Valley for years. Mainly composed of irrigators, the ninja of the clan specialize in Water and Earth Styles. The newly discovered River Style is the combination of the two.
Fukutsu: Sounds like you guys have been working hard.
Arekuruu: Yea, we have.
The two walk inside, with their teammates and friends trying to talk to them about the fight.
Patsuta: Congratulations buddy!
Fukutsu: Thanks Patsuta, one step closer to the best fight of the century.
Patsuta: I look forward to it.
Kameha: Congrats Fukutsu! You are too good for any of the genin from other villages.
Fukutsu (chuckling): I wouldn’t go that far. Don’t underestimate the other villages.
Arekuruu (looking over, and smiling): You got that right!
Naruto talks to the others and brags about how awesome his team is.
Naruto (jumping up): HAHA! My team is too good for you guys!
Sakura: Naruto, sit down! None of the other leaf genin have fought yet. We still have to see Toppuu, Dyno, and Shibi.
Naruto sits back down, anxiously waiting for the next ecstatic fight. The sun is setting, and the arena is emptying. The tournament is a weeklong event, so people can come and go as they please. The genin are instructed to go to their lodgings immediately and not have any contact with their senseis. Naruto and co. decide to have dinner together to relax and discuss the tournament. Kameha, Fukutsu, and Patsuta are sitting together at the lodgings discussing Kameha’s future fight.
Patsuta: Kameha, you’re fighting a Hidden Waterfall shinobi. What’s your strategy?
Kameha: Probably something to have to do with wire. It’s not like I’m going to lose anyway.
Fukutsu: You shouldn’t be too overconfident Kameha, it might cost you.
Kameha: Ha, as if. Other than the leaf, there isn’t ninja I’m really afraid of. Except for that Star, she seemed pretty good.
Fukutsu (grinnnng): So you are scared of someone.
Kameha (retorting): That’s not what I said!
Fukutsu (taunting): That’s what you meant.
Patsuta: Calm down you two.
Fukutsu (sarcastically): Whatever you say, Captain.
Patsuta (angrily): What was that?
Fukutsu: You heard me.
Patsuta: Don’t start this Fukutsu.
Fukutsu (voice raised): Since when did you become the captain, I’m the one who comes up with all our unfailed
plans. Just because people think you’re better than me, doesn’t mean you get to boss everyone around.
Patsuta (calmly): I never said I was captain, and I never said I was better than you. You said that! I just was trying to break up the verbal fight. What’s your problem?
Fukutsu: I just can’t wait until our fight. I want to prove that I’m better than you to everyone else.
Patsuta: Unfortunately, that won’t be happening. You won’t beat that Maguma one.
Fukutsu (angrily): Why you!!
Kameha: Stop! Keep your anger for your fight.
Fukutsu and Patsuta: Hmph.
Fukutsu, Patsuta, and Kameha all leave to their rooms, while Toppuu and Dyno meet up with each other one of the hallways of the lodges. The lodging is hotel style, with each floor containing multiple rooms for the competitors. There is a girl and a boy floor, although there are fewer females than males.
Toppuu: So Dyno, you are facing that Mysterious ninja that we battled in the survival exam. Your thoughts?
Dyno: Fight hard until the very end!
Toppuu (shaking his head): I meant strategy wise.
Dyno: Use Taijutsu to take out any competition!
Toppuu: *Thinking* I never should have asked.
Toppuu: Never mind.
Dyno: He will never know what hit ‘em!
Toppuu: Alright, that’s enough.
Dyno: There is never enough fighting!
Toppuu: Here are our rooms, later.
Dyno: Good night!
The day closes out.
The next day…
There is fantastic weather for an event such as the tournament. The sky is blue, it isn’t to hot, an all-around perfect day for fighting. The crowd fills in as the first match is started. Naruto takes his seat among the Kage to discuss the day before and the current day’s fights.
Naruto: So what’s the schedule for today?
Tsunade: There will be 13 matches for today. The first four are: Cloud vs. Grass currently, Star vs. Cloud next, Mist vs. Sand after, and Hot Water vs. Leaf later.
Naruto: Who from the Leaf?
Tsunade: Dyno Chan, Lee’s student.
Naruto: He’s fighting a Hot Water shinobi. That should be a fun battle.
Tsunade: Yes it will.
Naruto: Alright, I’m leaving to go join my friends. I’ll catch ya later Grandma Tsunade.
Tsunade: Alright Naruto.
Naruto joins up with his teammates and enters an intriguing conversation. The fight below between the cloud and the grass rages in a flurry of taijutsu and kunai clashing. After an extensive battle lasting half an hour. The cloud emerged victorius. A seemed excited over the match, as one of his cloud ninja won a battle. Katakana and another Cloud ninja emerge to fight. Katakana takes about five minutes to constrict the cloud ninja with her Kujaku. The crowd oo’s and aa’s at the use of the star power. Sumaru is very pleased with how well the Star ninja is performing. After the star battle, a fight between the mystery ninja of the hidden mist and a ninja from the sand battles is out with the mist victorious. Once the battle is over, Dyno and the Hot Water shinobi appear on the battlefield.
Darui: The fight between Dyno Chan of the Leaf and Karitari of the Hot Water will take place.
Dyno: Let us have a great battle!
Karitari: Let’s begin your judgement!
Darui: Begin.
Song:
Dyno and Karitari rush towards each other. Karitari pulls out a scythe type weapon with three tiny sickles on the other side of the staff. There is a rope attached to the bottom, with a bladed end for longer ranges. Dyno throws three shuriken which are deflected by Karitari’s scythe. Karitari throws the rope and dagger at him, which Dyno slides under and grabs the rope. Dyno uses all of his strength to throw Karitari into the air. Once his task is completed, he jumps up and hits Karitari with a flurry of punches from all different angles. One after another, Karitari eventually begins to bleed. Karitari manages to get a blow off with his scythe but is met by Dyno’s kunai. Karitari’s scythe and kunai generate sparks as they fall down to the ground, and Karitari moves his scythe farther down the kunai almost to the hand of Dyno. The scythe hits Dynos hand and draws a small amount of blood, after which, Karitari jumps away as he licks the blood off the blade, initiating the Jashin ritual.
Karitari: HAHA, now it’s over!
Dyno: Don’t be too sure.
Song:
Karitari draws the jashin symbol on the ground and stands in the middle. He takes out a kunai and thrusts it into his stomach. A puncture wound appears in the middle of Dyno’s stomach as he grimaces.
Karitari: Doesn’t the pain feel great?!
Dyno: What is this?
Karitari: JUDGEMENT!
As Karitari screams judgement, he thrusts the kunai into the lung, aiming for a quick win. Dyno feels the rush of pain in his left lung, but no blood. Not a single mark has been made on Dyno after the stomach wound.
Karitari: *Thinking* Damn, did I do anything wrong? Let’s see, I drew the symbol right, I licked the blade, I initiated the ritual, what did I do wrong?!?
As Karitari is contemplating what happened, Dyno sees this as his chance to attack.
Dyno (preparing): Gate of Opening…Open….Gate of Healing….OPEN!
Dyno rushes at top speed towards Karitari. Karitari is still thinking about his mistakes as Dyno advances.
Karitari: Ah, here we go. Forgot to place a seal on the kunai…
Karitari places the jashin symbol on the kunai and proceeds to stab his lung. Dyno does not feel the pain during his advancement and punches Karitari in the face with his right fist. As Karitari is sent flying towards the wall,
Dyno appears behind him and kicks him into the air. As Karitari is flying into the air, Dyno appears behind him
and grasps him with both arms. He turns them both towards the ground and rotates violently.
Dyno: Front Lotus!
The two hit the ground. Lee looks shocked to see Dyno use “that” jutsu. Dyno exits the Gates and feels a massive amount of pain and fatigue.
Before Darui heads to the battlefield, Karitari gets up from the ground and adjusts his broken neck.
Karitari: Ooo did that feel great.
Dyno (panting): How?
Karitari: Even though I should have been dead, I am a Jashinist. I cannot die. (Correcting himself) Well, some of the others can’t, but it takes a while for me to.
Dyno: You are indeed a formidable opponent.
Karitari: I still haven’t finished my ritual yet…
Karitari goes over the rituals list and does everything perfectly. He stands there with a kunai to his lung. His body takes on the skeletal skin color of the Jashin ritual.Dyno rushes towards him and throws a couple kunai, trying to prevent the ritual. As Karitari pushes the kunai slowly into his chest, another Dyno appears behind him as the one running fades away. Dyno kicks him away from the circle, ending the ritual.
Karitari: *Thinking* Damn, not again!
Karitari launches his scythe at the ground, stopping him from flying any further. Dyno appears in front of Karitari, with green chakra erupting around him, and punches Karitari into the ground. The blow breaks Karitari’s jaw.
Dyno takes Karitari from the ground and breaks both arms, knowing full well that he can recover. Dyno proceeds to throw Karitari to the ground again and jumps on him, unabling him to use his arms and his legs.
Dyno: Proctor sir, I think this battle is over. He can’t move, and hasn’t substituted.
Darui: Very well. The winner of this fight is Dyno Chan of the Hidden Leaf!
The crowd cheers as Dyno waves. Lee jumps out of his seat in happiness. While Lee is cheering, Shinku gets even angrier than losing the fight to him.
Shinku (muttering): He should have lost…
Dyno and Karitari walk into the waiting area as Karitari readjusts himself. Dyno stares at him as he put’s his arms back together.
Dyno: How are you doing this?
Karitari: I don’t feel pain anymore. It’s part of the initian into the Jashin temple. I don’t feel pain, and I essentially become immortal. I still need sustinence though, which is my only weakness.
Dyno: You are indeed a formidable opponent.
Karitari: I underestimated you; your taijutsu skills are out of this world.
Dyno: Thanks!
The scene fades as the two are greated by their friends. Everyone is even more excited to see the upcoming battles for the day.

Toppuu: So Dyno, you are facing that Mysterious ninja that we battled in the survival exam. Your thoughts?
Dyno: Fight hard until the very end!
Toppuu (shaking his head): I meant strategy wise.
Dyno: Use Taijutsu to take out any competition!
Toppuu: *Thinking* I never should have asked.
Toppuu: Never mind.
Dyno: He will never know what hit ‘em!
Toppuu: Alright, that’s enough.
Dyno: There is never enough fighting!
Toppuu: Here are our rooms, later.
Dyno: Good night!
The day closes out.
The next day…
There is fantastic weather for an event such as the tournament. The sky is blue, it isn’t to hot, an all-around perfect day for fighting. The crowd fills in as the first match is started. Naruto takes his seat among the Kage to discuss the day before and the current day’s fights.
Naruto: So what’s the schedule for today?
Tsunade: There will be 13 matches for today. The first four are: Cloud vs. Grass currently, Star vs. Cloud next, Mist vs. Sand after, and Hot Water vs. Leaf later.
Naruto: Who from the Leaf?
Tsunade: Dyno Chan, Lee’s student.
Naruto: He’s fighting a Hot Water shinobi. That should be a fun battle.
Tsunade: Yes it will.
Naruto: Alright, I’m leaving to go join my friends. I’ll catch ya later Grandma Tsunade.
Tsunade: Alright Naruto.
Naruto joins up with his teammates and enters an intriguing conversation. The fight below between the cloud and the grass rages in a flurry of taijutsu and kunai clashing. After an extensive battle lasting half an hour. The cloud emerged victorius. A seemed excited over the match, as one of his cloud ninja won a battle. Katakana and another Cloud ninja emerge to fight. Katakana takes about five minutes to constrict the cloud ninja with her Kujaku. The crowd oo’s and aa’s at the use of the star power. Sumaru is very pleased with how well the Star ninja is performing. After the star battle, a fight between the mystery ninja of the hidden mist and a ninja from the sand battles is out with the mist victorious. Once the battle is over, Dyno and the Hot Water shinobi appear on the battlefield.
Darui: The fight between Dyno Chan of the Leaf and Karitari of the Hot Water will take place.
Dyno: Let us have a great battle!
Karitari: Let’s begin your judgement!
Darui: Begin.

Dyno and Karitari rush towards each other. Karitari pulls out a scythe type weapon with three tiny sickles on the other side of the staff. There is a rope attached to the bottom, with a bladed end for longer ranges. Dyno throws three shuriken which are deflected by Karitari’s scythe. Karitari throws the rope and dagger at him, which Dyno slides under and grabs the rope. Dyno uses all of his strength to throw Karitari into the air. Once his task is completed, he jumps up and hits Karitari with a flurry of punches from all different angles. One after another, Karitari eventually begins to bleed. Karitari manages to get a blow off with his scythe but is met by Dyno’s kunai. Karitari’s scythe and kunai generate sparks as they fall down to the ground, and Karitari moves his scythe farther down the kunai almost to the hand of Dyno. The scythe hits Dynos hand and draws a small amount of blood, after which, Karitari jumps away as he licks the blood off the blade, initiating the Jashin ritual.
Karitari: HAHA, now it’s over!
Dyno: Don’t be too sure.

Karitari draws the jashin symbol on the ground and stands in the middle. He takes out a kunai and thrusts it into his stomach. A puncture wound appears in the middle of Dyno’s stomach as he grimaces.
Karitari: Doesn’t the pain feel great?!
Dyno: What is this?
Karitari: JUDGEMENT!
As Karitari screams judgement, he thrusts the kunai into the lung, aiming for a quick win. Dyno feels the rush of pain in his left lung, but no blood. Not a single mark has been made on Dyno after the stomach wound.
Karitari: *Thinking* Damn, did I do anything wrong? Let’s see, I drew the symbol right, I licked the blade, I initiated the ritual, what did I do wrong?!?
As Karitari is contemplating what happened, Dyno sees this as his chance to attack.
Dyno (preparing): Gate of Opening…Open….Gate of Healing….OPEN!
Dyno rushes at top speed towards Karitari. Karitari is still thinking about his mistakes as Dyno advances.
Karitari: Ah, here we go. Forgot to place a seal on the kunai…
Karitari places the jashin symbol on the kunai and proceeds to stab his lung. Dyno does not feel the pain during his advancement and punches Karitari in the face with his right fist. As Karitari is sent flying towards the wall,
Dyno appears behind him and kicks him into the air. As Karitari is flying into the air, Dyno appears behind him
and grasps him with both arms. He turns them both towards the ground and rotates violently.
Dyno: Front Lotus!
The two hit the ground. Lee looks shocked to see Dyno use “that” jutsu. Dyno exits the Gates and feels a massive amount of pain and fatigue.
Before Darui heads to the battlefield, Karitari gets up from the ground and adjusts his broken neck.
Karitari: Ooo did that feel great.
Dyno (panting): How?
Karitari: Even though I should have been dead, I am a Jashinist. I cannot die. (Correcting himself) Well, some of the others can’t, but it takes a while for me to.
Dyno: You are indeed a formidable opponent.
Karitari: I still haven’t finished my ritual yet…
Karitari goes over the rituals list and does everything perfectly. He stands there with a kunai to his lung. His body takes on the skeletal skin color of the Jashin ritual.Dyno rushes towards him and throws a couple kunai, trying to prevent the ritual. As Karitari pushes the kunai slowly into his chest, another Dyno appears behind him as the one running fades away. Dyno kicks him away from the circle, ending the ritual.
Karitari: *Thinking* Damn, not again!
Karitari launches his scythe at the ground, stopping him from flying any further. Dyno appears in front of Karitari, with green chakra erupting around him, and punches Karitari into the ground. The blow breaks Karitari’s jaw.
Dyno takes Karitari from the ground and breaks both arms, knowing full well that he can recover. Dyno proceeds to throw Karitari to the ground again and jumps on him, unabling him to use his arms and his legs.
Dyno: Proctor sir, I think this battle is over. He can’t move, and hasn’t substituted.
Darui: Very well. The winner of this fight is Dyno Chan of the Hidden Leaf!
The crowd cheers as Dyno waves. Lee jumps out of his seat in happiness. While Lee is cheering, Shinku gets even angrier than losing the fight to him.
Shinku (muttering): He should have lost…
Dyno and Karitari walk into the waiting area as Karitari readjusts himself. Dyno stares at him as he put’s his arms back together.
Dyno: How are you doing this?
Karitari: I don’t feel pain anymore. It’s part of the initian into the Jashin temple. I don’t feel pain, and I essentially become immortal. I still need sustinence though, which is my only weakness.
Dyno: You are indeed a formidable opponent.
Karitari: I underestimated you; your taijutsu skills are out of this world.
Dyno: Thanks!
The scene fades as the two are greated by their friends. Everyone is even more excited to see the upcoming battles for the day.

Authors Note: I most likely will be taking the rest of the week off. Don't expect one until next Monday. I will also be starting another FF: The Beginning of Ninjutsu, based off of the SO6P set in present day 2013. (without Naruto being a thing of course). It will be written in the traditional book style. I will probably be on a twice a week schedule with The Beginning of Ninjutsu coming out on a Wednesday and Naruto Jounin Adventures on a Saturday.
