Dyno has opened the second gate. He is encased with a green chakra. Dyno rushes towards, prepared to attack Shinku, while Shinku is weaving hand signs.
Shinku: Lighting Style: Lightning Strike!
The surge of lightning moves swiftly towards Dyno. Dyno leaps in the air with astounding speeds, giving Shinku little time to react. Dyno appears under Shinku and kicks him up into the air. Shinku is sent flying while Dyno again at the increased speed appears in front of Shinku and grabs him. Dyno’s arms are firmly wrapped around Shinku.
Dyno (smirking): Hmph.
Shinku’s body evaporates. The body was a simple genjutsu. Another lightning strike is sent towards Dyno, hitting him in the back. Dyno seems like he’s falling to the ground unconscious.
Song: Sarutobi
Dyno’s body moves again at an alarming rate towards Shinku. Shinku realizes that he can’t try and hit him with a jutsu. He moves his arms above his face in the X position. Dyno is in front of him…
Dyno: Leaf Hurricane!
Dyno kicks Shinku across the room, making another dent in the wall. Dyno rushes up to him, and delivers the finishing blow to his stomach. Before Dyno came close, the power of the Second Gate diminished, and Dyno
couldn’t finish the punch. He fell to his knees, panting. Shinku takes a long time getting out of the crater on the wall. As he’s weaving hand signs, he hears Lee say something he doesn’t take a liking to.
Lee: Come on Dyno! Let the power of youth course through you!
Shinku: *Thinking* Tch. He always takes Dyno’s side over everything… I’m better than he is, and everyone knows that.
Dyno is shaking, trying to stand up. Shinku finishes weaving his hand signs, and touches Dyno’s shoulder. Dyno is electrocuted with all the force Shinku could add to it. Dyno falls down, and lands chest first on the ground.
Shinku(murmuring): That did it…
15 seconds later.
Darui: The match go-
Dyno (standing up suddenly): NO! I’m not done yet!
Song: Gehika
Dyno punches Shinku in the face, sending him to the ground.
Shinku: *Thinking* But how!
Dyno: Yes!
Dyno rushes to the spot Shinku is about to fall. Dyno kicks shinku into the air, and using the Dancing Leaf Shadow, appears next to him. Dyno winds up for a kick and sends Shinku flying towards the ground.
Shinku (solemnly): *Thinking* I’ve lost…
Shinku hits the floor with enough force to break the ground. He is left unconscious while the medical ninja
take him away.
Darui (in a dull voice): The winner of this match is Dyno Chan. Congratulations.
Dyno: YES! I WON! Did you see me Lee Sensei?
Song: Victory
Lee: Yes Dyno! The power of youth is strong in you!
Naruto: Good work Dyno. It was a well-earned win. I was impressed with the initiative you took with the
genjutsu. Even your Sensei wouldn’t have asked.
Lee: Hey! I didn’t have to ask, I already knew that.
Kakashi: *Thinking* Reminds me of Gai…
Kakashi: Well done Dyno Chan.
Dyno: Thanks Kakashi Sensei!
Hishi: So you are moving on. I was wrong.
Dyno (excited): I told ya! You can’t count me out!
Hishi: I miscalculated your taijutsu skills.
Dyno (teasing): So you don’t know everything!
Hishi: …
Dyno (laughing): HAHAHA. Its ok, I forgive you.
Song: Naruto Main Theme
Dyno and the rest return to their seats and watch the rest of the battles. Fukutsu and Patsuta win their fights very easily, while Kameha has a little more trouble. Toppuu faced off against an Iwagakure ninja, and came into a standstill between earth and sword. Toppuu emerged victorious, after casting a genjutsu and cutting the ninja’s knees. There end up being only five leaf shinobi to go to the final Tournament.
The standings: Leaf: 5; Sand: 5; Mist: 4; Grass: 2; Rock: 5; Cloud: 3; Rain: 2; Waterfall: 2; Star: 1; Stone: 1;
Hot Water: 2; Valley: 2.
Naruto and takes the kids to dinner at a local establishment. Fukutsu seems a bit nervous about the exams.
Naruto: What’s wrong Fukutsu? You won that last match handily; you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.
Fukutsu (still worried): I don’t know Naruto Sensei. I’m just extremely worried about how strong everyone else
is that made it.
Kameha (reassuring him): Fukutsu, we are the best out there! We can’t lose.
Fukutsu (teasing): What are you talking about? You couldn’t beat that Star Ninja with your most powerful jutsu!
Kameha (angry): Like hell I can’t! You’re just nervous that you’ll have to face Patsuta!
Patsuta: *Thinking* Why do they always have to bring me into this…
Kameha: Right Patsuta?
Patsuta: Kameha, I have nothing but great respect toward my best friend Fukutsu. I want to fight him more than anyone else. So in a way, I’m nervous as well. I like you Kameha, but stop putting Fukutsu and I every chance you get.
Kameha (defeated): But…But…. Hmph.
Naruto: *Thinking* Who is this kid? What happened to him?
Kurama: He is very different from the other two.
Naruto: He’s the one I plan on taking as my student. Like my master, Pervy Sage, and my sensei, Kakashi. He's turning more into the perfect candidate for my tutelage.
Kurama: I would have to agree with you. Although, I won’t be of much use with this one.
Naruto: No Kurama, you won’t. He’s not a jinchuriki. We don’t have any jinchuriki other than Bee and I. The
others are still choosing their candidates.
Kurama: They are a stubborn lot. They won’t settle for anything less than what the previous jinchuriki were.
Naruto: Yea…
Naruto (to the kids): So, anyone specific you want to fight?
Fukutsu: I wanted to fight Shinku, but that’s not happening. Other than Shinku: Toppuu and Patsuta.
Patsuta: Not sure, that Star shinobi looked pretty good. I want to fight her, Fukutsu, and Kameha.
Kameha: Fukutsu, Patsuta and Toppuu. I really want to give Toppuu a run for his money.
Naruto: Hmm. Besides Patsuta, all you two want is to fight Leaf Ninja.
Fukutsu: In our defense, we know the leaf ninja. They’re our rivals.
Naruto: Good point. I thought the exact same thing when I was your age. I had this rival, Sasuke Uchiha. He was the popular, cool one. We were best friends.
Flashback
Sasuke: Hmph, loser.
Naruto: Sasuke, I’m going to become Hokage, and when I do, you’re going to be bowing to me.
Sasuke: Yea right.
Naruto: Sasuke!
Sasuke: Naruto!
Naruto is walking through the village, and sees Sasuke sitting by himself on a dock on a pond. Sasuke and
Naruto look at each other while Naruto is passing by and quickly turn their heads. Once Naruto passes a little
by, they both smile at each other, acknowledging the friendship.
Flashback ends
Naruto: Those were the days…
Team Seven (confused): What were?
Naruto: Oh, nothing. So let’s talk jutsu.
Naruto and team talk jutsu selection. Naruto can’t help his team out too much, but he is allowed to listen to what they have to say. Naruto is amazed at the amount of thought the three have put into their various strategies.
The next day
Song: Heaven Shaking Event
The genin that won at the preliminaries are lined up at the stadium with everyone cheering. Darui is standing in front of them, announcing the rules. The scene slowly fades out with Naruto walking up to the Kage area.
Next Chapter: Chapter Five: The Tournament!
Authors note: The next chapter will be pretty long. There will be more than either more than one fight per part, or one fight that drags on with dialogue. Or just dialogue, it really depends.
